The rods are all in very good condition with no problems to the guides, tips or wraps. It appears that it has not been used or barely used and put away years ago. The cork section looks almost new, and appears to have no missing chunks. It still has the original foil label and looks good. Everything appears to be original with no repairs. The rod comes with two different tip sections, one of the sections is slightly thicker than the other, weighing in at 1.1 ounces while the other is 0.8 ounces, both are the same length. The rod is made of graphite and breaks down into two sections, each of the guides has a glow-in-the-dark insert making it a great candidate for dusk or night fishing. This auction is for 80 broken/damaged fishing rods. All of these rods have broken tips. There are spinning and casting rods. Many medium action. Many of these are broken near the top and could simply be retipped and fished with. Some are broken further down near the handle and are good for parts only. There are also quite a few ultra light rods which could be retipped. Many of these rods have never been used and still have the original plastic on the cork handles. Korean fishing pole rod 8 ft 7.5", 3 pc med/heavy action travel rod w/ 2 tips
Up for bid is a rod I don't know much about. Except it is a Korean rod with Korean writing, visible in the pictures. It is a 3 pc with 2 tips, one is a bit more limber. It comes with a nylon carrying bag. Since I can't read the writing. I don't know for sure which line it is rated for or if it is a medium or heavy/medium action. It measures 8 ft 7.5 inches, or 270 cm, and weighs 300 g. The butt measures 1 ft 11.5 inches, from bottom to rod. In comparing it with my salmon rods, I'd estimate the line recommendation at 15-30 lb test. It would be a great surf pole and maybe sturgeon. It is a beautiful. Well made rod in beautiful condition that has been taken care of.

very very nice condition for an old rod. It would be mint except for a few small marks on it and 2 tiny dents on the reel seat handle. finish is very nice and doesn't look like it was fished much. Vintage 1940s 50s Fly Casting Fishing Whale Bone Bamboo Rod Tips Kit Tackle Case
I found this fly rod tip kit in my dad's things-it belonged to his brother. And apparently was given to my dad. I really don't know a lot about it. But one of the rod tips has a tag attached that says"Made of Whale Bone" and the other rod tip has 6 sides-I believe it may be made of bamboo? There are also 6 wooden bobbers. Line, sinkers/weights, hooks, flies, and a wooden piece that looks sort of like a fence-this may have been to wind your line on? Rod tips are about 32 1/2" long; case is about 34 1/2" long. The 2 pieces of wood slide into grooves to cover the tackle sections. Case has some general wear on outside. And my uncle wrote his name, Mach. Shop, and Keep Off! on the top. NICE ANTIQUE WOODEN FRESH WATER FISHING ROD 3 TIPS
This is a really nice early rod that has three different tips. One connects to the main rod thus becomes a two piece rod measuring approximately 83 1/2" The other 3 pieces connect to form two three piece rods measuring 120 1/2" and 123 1/2" I don't know why but the last sections on the 3 piece are 3" different. I cannot find any makers name but I'm sure someone out there may have more information which I always welcome; live and learn. The rod is in good condition with no breaks etc. An unusual piece. Vintage Montague Split Bamboo Fly Rod 9' Rapidan 2 Tips w/ Sock Fishing This is a Montague Rapidan 9 Ft. Fly Fishing Rod from the Montague Rod& Reel Co. in Montague City. Mass. made of split bamboo. The rod includes 4 pieces(including 2 tips one of which is missing some guides and the tip) the original protective sock bag which is very worn and torn. The original decal shows the name of the rod and its' manufacturer. The rod appears to have been varnished and it is possible not the original finish. Vintage Shakespeare 1362 9 ft Fly Fishing Rod with 2 tips & original bag
This Vintage Shakespeare 1362 9 ft Fly Fishing Rod has had many years of use. This pole was manufactured sometime between 1936 and 1942. Two original eyelets have been replaced with newer style eyelets and wrapped with orange instead of green thread. The original red glass eyelet is missing and the green thread that held it has been replaced with orange thread. The middle section has a one inch piece of metal that will need to be removed in order to fit together. Both tip ends are included as well as the original bag(the bag is in pretty rough shape. This auction is for a Vintage 3 Pc. Approx 107" Bamboo Fishing Fly Rod with 2 Additional Tips. I did not see a brand on the rod. It looks like all the guides and eyelit are in place. For accuracy the 2 additional tips do not fit this rod. But may help with another rod. I combine shipping when I can. Let me know when you are done and I will do my best to combine your items to save you on shipping costs. If you have any question. Feel free to ask early on the auction, before you bid. Vintage Montague Rapidan Fly Fishing Rod 9 ft 2 tips Sock and hard case
Fly fishing rod that belongd to my grandfather. My best research has determined item is: M ontague Split Bamboo Rod with Sock Bag& Case. Measures 9 Ft. a Fly Fishing Rod of hexagon shape. Made from bamboo from Montague Rod& Reel Co. Montague City,Mass. Rod includes 4 pieces(including 2 tips) Original sock bag and original hard tube case. Original decal on rod and case. Cork handle, lacquer finish and each section is approx. 36 1/2 inches. No splits in wood and all eyelets intact. Pole was not used very much and has been stored in original case for years.
