At Shooting Star Camp we offer our guest a variety of fishing opportunities and experiences that will make every trip an enjoyable one. Whether you prefer golden walleye, hard hitting ... morenortherns, acrobatic smallmouth or deep water lakers, we have something for everyone.
Our remoteness and the quality of our area ensures that our fishing is definitely above average. The Spanish River is a fisherman's paradise. Its dark waters, deep pockets, weed growth and mud flats provide ideal habitat and unlimited fishing opportunities.
Our lakes many of which have less fisherman per season than some lakes in a weekend continue to provide our guests with memorable thrills as well as mouth watering fish dinners.

This season we invite you to DOUBLE your enjoyment and fishing pleasure while visiting Shooting Star Camp. Think back to past years how the possibility mid week to try something completely different, whether an entirely new species of fish or location would have provided not only new and exciting opportunities but resulted in that trip being one of your most memorable.
Often with many of our guest we hear that the most difficult part of their trip is in deciding which outpost to choose. Many of our customers return to the same site year after year, reluctant to give up the good fishing they have become accustom to, however they remain curious and desire the opportunity’s to experience some our other sites. In recognition of this we are pleased and excited to offer this season the opportunity to fish two entirely separate outpost locations during the same trip.
The Double your fishing fun package will provide the opportunity to experience quality walleye and northern pike fishing during one half of your stay and outstanding smallmouth combined with Lake trout for the other half. We wish to emphasize that not only will you enjoy double the fishing but each location offers in addition an entirely separate and unique visual experience. The 7 day trips will begin on Saturday, camp relocation will be on Tuesday [mid trip] and departure on Friday, there is also an option for a 9 day trip as well. For those interested we encourage you to inquire early into this opportunity as availability is limited and undoubtedly this package will be extremely popular.

Bear Hunters should recognize that while the cancellation of the Spring hunt ended a long standing tradition it also has been responsible for continued growth in our Bear population. As a result of this and in combination with our hunting method our Fall hunts are highly successful.
Success is something our Moose Hunters are also familiar with. Whether it is with a Bow or Rifle, Our Hunters continue to take home great memories and quality trophies. We strive to meet your Outdoor needs, Whether its a D.I.Y., fully guided hunt.

At our camp you can get up each morning anticipating an unbelievable day of fishing. Walleye and pike fishing is great throughout the whole season, while perch are easier to catch ... morein the spring. Whitefish are plentiful during the Mayfly hatch, which usually occurs the first week in July. It is quite unusual for guests to leave not having caught their limit. Each winter we make ice so your catch will be safely stored during the week. Then we'll pack your fish on ice to take home. A large freezer is available as well.
We provide you with a map with all the local "hot spots" and the best "up-to-date" fishing information. The lake is easily navigated, but for newcomers, guides are available to help. In our new fish house all the latest stories and fishing tips are freely shared.
We have 14-foot aluminum Sea Nymph and Naden boats, which are ideal for this lake. You can bring your own motor (motors between 8HP-15 HP are recommended) or rent one from us. We offer new 9.9 Johnson outboards. Your boat will be conveniently beached near the cabin ready to go in the morning.
