Foss lure which is in excellent condition, however most all the writing on the metal box is gone; The next box containing a lure is the A.L. Foss Pork Rind Minnow No. 23 Super-is written on the box, however on the lure found in the box is an A.L. Foss but is marked a Dixie 14. So there is a possibility the lure and box do not match, but both are A.L. Foss. T his is a vintage circa early 1900s celluloid Al Foss Pork Rind Minnow"No. 4 Baby Oriental Wiggler" which comes in its original. Correctly marked tin box. Condition is considered to be EXCELLENT IN THE BOX, with 3 forms of paperwork. The lure has glass eyes which are perfect. There is some darkening of the lure which I have not attempted to clean. The box shows some wear, has great graphics, and is correctly marked on the lid and on one end. Paperwork includes a foldout which identifies Al Foss products, an advertising paper showing directions of how to fish with an Oriental Wiggler, and a small paper which reads"Keep This Screw Tight" This is a super nice package! Up for bid is a very nice old lure from Al Foss. It comes on it's original card. It is in excellent condition. I do not believe it has ever been used because if it was they wouldn't have kept the card. There is a little tarnish on the hook from age. The eyes are red and perfect. This was Al Foss's first Little Egypt style lure. It has the Colorado Spinner with Barrel style swivels. The back of the card has instructions on how to use it. The card is in wonderful condition as you can see in the pictures. You don't see these very often in this condition on it's original card. There just is not very many out there. This is the first one I have ever seen in many years.

Vintage Spinnerbait Lot Pflueger No. 6 Al Foss Shimmy No. 6 Patented 1918 1919
A couple of cool old spinnerbaits here. The larger one is marked PFLUEGER 6. It is in good condition and is free of rust. The smaller one was made by Al Foss and is a Shimmy No. 6. It has patent date of 1918 and 1919. Foss got his first patent in 1915 and was a champion tournament caster who did not like the large lure manufacturer's big multi-hook contraptions. His lures were very successgul for the next 3 decades. The Pflueger is about 6-1/2" long and the Foss is 4-1/4" long. It has a treble hook fitted onto the single hook. Beautiful AL FOSS MUSKY ORIENTIAL WIGGLER w/ Original Tin Box - Glass Eyes
Al Foss Musky Oriental Wiggler with the correctly marked original green tin box. Lure blade is marked Al Foss- Pat. Apr. 30'18- May 14'18. And lure body is marked Oriental Wiggler No. 3. Features the classic Foss Musky adjustments, with a free swinging blade arm and reinforced hook mounting on the back of the lure body. Lure body is about 1 7/8 inches in length, excluding the hardware. The beautiful green tin is clearly marked for the bait on the top of the box. Red and white in color with glass eyes. Vintage Al Foss Shimmy # 6 Plus 3 Vintage Feather Jigs
Here's a vintage Al Foss Shimmy# 6 that has seen a lot of fishing enjoyment. It's a little rusted but still has the patent mark from 1918. Along with that. I have 3 vintage feather jigs with about the same amount of wear. they came from the same Florida tackle box) The feathers look great, but the paint is peeling from the lead. These lures would be great for the collector or the decorator who needs some vintage lures to add to a wreath or other crafty design. Hope you like them and thanks for looking! Smoke free home.

Th e Dixie W iggler#13 fishing lure is from 1955 to 1958 made only 3 years with the clear plastic top with a yellow bottom. The lure is made of metal with a figure four blade marked A l F oss with no patent date. Th e eyes are painted yellow with black pupils with a orange buck hair t ail.
