This is a very rare. Around 100 year old, fishing reel marked ROYAL on the side and 80 on the bottom. This antique reel would clean up to excellent condition and the clicker and drag still work fine. It's a brass reel with nice, nickle silver plating and raised pillors. The width is 1 3/4' not counting handle and its 2 1/2' tall with pillors. The handle is ivory colored and has no chips or cracks. It looks to be all original except for maybe 1 replaced screw. A very hard to find very nice, antique reel and a part of USA fishing history! The plating is in good condition with some brass showing on the bearing caps and the two slide buttons on the rear cover and some on the edge of the front and rear plates(see photos) There is a clicker controlled by a slide button on the back plate and adjustable drag control through a second slide button on the rear plate. The drag control is uneven as the reel turns and does not work as smoothly as it should. It is in fair working condition. The handle appears to have a wood knob. On the front cover it is marked with" Favorite" And on the bottom of the foot it is marked with"200" There is a scratch on the front cover about 1/2" long. It measures 2-11/16" diameter, 4-3/16" deep including the handle, and has a foot measuring 2-7/8" long by 11/16" wide. It weighs 1 pound 1.8 ounces, with packaging it will ship below 2 pounds. Two antique Fly Fishing Reels. Meisselbach Expert& Union Hardware 7115S One reel is a Meisselbach Expert. Estimate it was manufactured before 1905. Only markings on the reel are EXPERT on the top bridge. Following the history of the Meisselbach Expert reel it appears to be Nickle plated brass. Reel is in rough shape. Not sure if complete or not. Reel needs a good cleaning and inspection to free up and see if restorable. Good wall hanger. Maybe parts reel. Second reel is a Union Hardware fly reel. Reel was manufactured in Torrington Connecticut. Reel has markings on backside but very difficult to read. Reel has not been cleaned or polished. Last digits of model number are.115S. Difficult to read due to the patina of the steel construction. Reel looks to be fully functional. Reel looks to be complete. Can't figure out if there is any ... morekind of drag adjustment. Clicker works, reel turns nice for its age. If I would have to guess reel is circa 1900-1910. Union reel experts please advise if my assumption is in error. Here we have TWO small trade Raised Pillar fishing reels by'Montague' in the U.S.A. The first is a small 80 yard reel'The Chief' reel marked clearly on the face of the reel; CHIEF' It has a sliding button for drag and a sliding button for the check mechanism which both work correctly. The reel is in excellent condition. The knob is plastic or bone and also is in great condition with no cracks. The reel is loaded with some sort of braided line. The second reel is a 8 0 yard'Climax' reel which is clearly marked on the foot; The Climax' The other side of the foot is marked; Registered Pat. July 8. 1894' It has an ebonite knob with no cracks or chips. It is loaded with a nylon type backing line. This reel also has a sliding button system for both the drag and check mechanisms. I'm selling 2 J.C Higgins ice fishing( poles with reels. The shortest fishing pole is about 41 1/2 inches. The fishing pole says"JC Higgins Pistol Grip" on the handle grip and on the other side it says"JC Higgins Model 30/62" On the reel it says"JC Higgins No. 537-3101" It has a picture of a fish jumping out of the water on one side of the reel and on the other side it has a picture of someone fishing. The reel is level wind and has its original line. The fishing pole is intact but has a very small crack on the grip(1/4" The fishing pole and reel are in good condition. The longer fishing pole is about 51 inches. The fishing pole says"JC Higgins Pistol Grip" on both sides of the handle grip. You are bidding on a very nice group of Antique HENDRYX fishing reels they include the following: a silver finish baby 40 yard reel. Raised pillar. Black end cap, black knob marked on base plate Hendryx patent date July 10, 1888, the reel is in working order and good condition, minor wear to the silver finish 2" diameter, the next is a sweetie, it is the brass body raised pillar, 60 yard, s ame markings on base and is in good working order. Very mi nor wear to the knob. 2.25" diameter including pillar, with a nice polish she is a beauty, and the final is an 80 y ard reel I believe it too may be brass. But this particular model has the dark finish on it, the center of the spool is turning green from age and it has wear to the edges. Marked on the base plate same patent date as other two. Here we have a pair of wooden spear-backed Nottingham fishing reels. My Dad(who lives in Nottinghamshire) found them while clearing his garage out. He was given them by his Dad when he first took up fishing as a boy, and they weren't new then, which makes them 80 years old at the very least- my Grandad apparently told my Dad they were Victorian, we have no way of telling if that was really true though. Nice condition for their age. A bit grubby but not damaged. The larger reel is 4" diameter, the smaller one is 3.5" Both reels spin OK, the larger one does catch a little at one spot though. offered for sale are 2 old antique fishing rods& reels Both are one piece steel rods with old reels The top rod and reel combination in the photos is( the one with the brown wooden handles) is unmarked as to a maker that I can find. The reel is an old Shakespeare Service casting reel. Both the rod and reel show light wear and some light corrision on the metal parts. The rod is 52 inches long. Really neat wooden handle-that may be walnut or some hard wood. The reel works fine but does need cleaning. The bottom rod and reel combination in the photos is marked True Temper Raider. This rod comes with an old Pflueger Skilkast casting reel in pretty nice condition. This rod is 56 inches long- the rod has a little rusting on the metal but overall it is in decent shape for a 70-100 year old fishing rod. The reel works fine. Up for auction are two Shakesphere thrifty 1902 reels(model fg) They both work well with the line quides moving smoothly while reeling in. One is rather loud when reeling(maybe it just needs oil) and needs the handle bolt tightened. Overall i would rate them in good condition considering their age. These are all items from my great grandfathers tackle box. There are"11" items in all. The"Shakespeare reel is in working condition, and very good shape for its age. It is missing a small button cover on the reel side but does not affect the operation of the reel. The reel is unique in that it has a singe black reel handle, most of the model GE's had double yellow handles. There are"3" Kautzky Lazy Ikes, I believe them all to be wood but its hard to tell for sure. One of the lazy ikes is missing the rear trailer hook. There is one"Sport Fishing Aqua Spoon Mpls, Minn. It is Black and white and is the bigger of the two spoons in the picture of all items together. There is one"Yellow Lazy Dazy" it is yellow with red spots. These are 4 antiques fishing reels that include: Penn 60 Long Beach(in good working condition but it has quite a bit of saltwater corrosion on the inside) Penn Delmar No. 285(condition is in great condition with only minor salt corrosion) Shakespeare Service 1946 Model FA(works great but has quite a bit of surface corrosion on the inside) Shakespeare True Blue 1956 Model FE(reel is in great shape with hardly any corrosion) There are also 4 lures included: Luhr Jensen Skagit Special#5-Luhr Jensen Skagit Special#6-Unknown-Heddon Tadpolly 1/2 oz There is also a tin Bob Bet Bait Box that hooks on the belt. Two antique vintage casting fishing reels in good working and fairly clean condition. One Seneca reel with bakelite knob and 60 marked on base of shoe. This reel measures approximately 4 x 3 x 2 1/8 inches. Also one Euerka Portage reel measuring 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches. Wood knob is in good condition with 15% stain intact(there is no chipping of paint) Marked 200 on base of shoe. We will combine shipping for you when possible.
