This auction includes the"Crazy Crawler" lure carefully packaged for the winner. The lure comes from our good friend J.V. and his lifelong collection. Watch for lots of lures and lots lots more! LURE MARKINGS: Heddon Crazy Crawler. The age is known to be early 1940's era as this version sports the FLAP-RIG hardware. LURE CONDITION: The lure measures aprox. 2-3/4" long. This is the larger version SERIES 2100. The Crawler has the gold eyes with RED PUPILS. Note this version also has the three red spots on the belly! Both eyes are in very good condition as no serious damage was found. Lure has general aging throughout. Note how the white colors have taken on a nice aged patina! There are NO serious nicks on the right side and just one very small paint flake behind the wing and near the tail. Looks like a small soil speck behind the right eye. The top or back wing areas are in fine condition as no serious damage was found. Just a few raised soil specks. The left side has just two small nicks and no paint loss. The belly has four or five small nicks or blemishes. The hooks are fairly clean with hook guards installed long ago. There's no doubt's about it, the lure has had minimal use over it's lifetime and has been well cared for. See the big gold color dot under the chin on the belly side. There is a small blemish on the top at the tail and a couple of small agelines, etc. I have recently completed my color collection of Crazy Crawlers and this is a duplicate so you get a buy, low starting price. Its hard to find this box which is solid and clearly marked. Neither lure or box has been cleaned and they will clean up some with some time and a little work but not bad as it is. I would grade it VG++ to E- and I am tough. Nice and unusual combo folks! Made in hard plastic-it comes in the Bullfrog pattern(BF) The lure is in nice vintage condition and measures a little under 2 1/2 inches The plastic crazy crawlers were produced starting in 1956-this one has the later cream eyes. Which replaced the gold eyes in 1961 So. This lure was produced sometime after the 1961 time frame The lure is in very good shape. This auction includes the rare color"Crazy Crawler" WOOD lure carefully packaged for the winner. The lure comes from our good friend J.V. and his lifelong collection. Watch for lots of lures and lots lots more! LURE MARKINGS: The belly is marked in black letters: Heddon Crazy Crawler. The age is known to be post 1948 as this version has the surface hook hanger hardware. We thought this was a Silver Shore and it very well may be. However. Take a close look at the GOLD head. This has more GOLD color paint on the lure than it does silver. CRAZY CRAWLER" LURE CONDITION: The lure measures aprox. 2-3/8" long. The Crawler has the gold and black eyes with RED PUPILS. Both ... moreeyes are in very good condition as no serious damage was found. The lure has general aging throughout with a very unique color and patina. As mentioned above the Crawler has lots of gold paint throughout! This displays best as a golden color Crawler facing to the left. NO nicks on either side. NO serious nicking on the belly. There's a tackle box impression on the back along with another smaller impression. The top head areas have four small areas with a scratch/scuff. A small group of nick scratches is seen above the right flapper. A small paint flake is seen on the underside of the head at the end of the word Heddon. Lots of gold over spray around the head areas. Maybe a Friday afternooner. The hooks and hardware are slightly aged as seen. This is great Heddon history right here. This is a Rare vintage Heddon Husky/Musky Size Crazy Crawler and is a very neat lure.I believe it is a glow lure by the red lines on the sides if I am correct, it is one rare crazy Crawler,it measures about 3 1/2' long for the body size.It has cool Blue eyes and it truely a rare find,it comes with very old dovetail corner box it was purchased in.It has been in my private collection for many years,due to medical problems at this time I am selling all my boxed lures that is well over 100 boxes and many unboxed lures,new listings twice a week.Thanks for looking,I have a very nice collection, most in excellent or mint condition.watch weekly for some very fine lures,thanks.

Heddon- Dowagiac 2122 XS Crazy Crawler(first photo lure at left) Yellow bodied lure with red head and black strips is in excellent condition appears to be unused. The large treble hooks are clean straight and sharp. Some hairline fractures of the paint can be seen in the enlarged photos of the lure body. Stamped on the outside of the left wing is PAT. no number) Included with the lure is the matching box and Heddon P ocket catalog in great shape. Heddon- Dowagiac 2102 Lum Crazy Crawler(first photo lure at right) The paint from this lure is flaking from the lure. Yet the body has no damage and shows no signs of use. The hooks are clean straight and sharp. ... moreIncluded with the lure(photo 7) is the matching Heddon box, Heddon Pocket catalog, a yellow flyer describing the“New surface bait/ Crazy Crawler” and the third is a pink flyer describing the“Night Glowing Luminous Bait” All three sets of papers in the 2102 Lum described above are in great shape. Both the 2122 XS and 2102 Lum appear to be unused and show no signs of use. The bodies are free of dings. Nicks or damage(again, the paint on the 2102 Lum is in flaking) The hooks are sharp and straight without damage and have a slight greenish patina as seen on the photos.
