2 fish decoy, Jim Pullen cadillac mi??? one trout and one mini pan fish
the large one is 7in. I would say it's a brook trout. when I purchased this I paid somewhere in the area of 175.00$ for this decoy. I was a pretty serious collector. I was told that this was made in Pullens earlier style. the main dif I've found is this and a couple others I've seen have rear upper and lower body fins that are one piece with the body. I'm not sure if this might be 1990s or a bit earlier. the small pan fish. I bought from mr. Pullen through the mail while he was alive.it's about 2in. long. Sturgeon Decoy Home Made Fish Decoy
Up for auction is a fish Decoy which is home made. the size is about 16" long 4 7/8" high(back fin) and about 6 5/8" wide fin to fin the body itself is about 2" wide. As can be seen the paint is peeled of part of the fins. The fins and tail are made of what looks to me is brass. There are also some lead weights built into or poured into the wood body. Antique Wooden Ice Fishing House Spearing Fish Decoy Lure Tip Up Large
Straight from an estate sale comes this very nice antique ice fishing decoy. The decoy is in great condition for it's age and has a wonderful vintage patina. It is made of wood. It measures approximately 8 inches long. As you can see in the photos. The tail of the fish is curved just a little, which I think makes the decoy look very realistic. The fins are metal. It has gills and eye holes carved into the sides and a grooved mouth. I do not see any markings as to the maker of the decoy. Bear Creek Scarce Musky Fish Decoy Type III
We have seen many Bear Creek Type III fish decoys however this is one we don't recall. IT looks to be a silver musky of some sort. The condition is good with very modest in use wear. Overall this is a very nice and interesting decoy. This decoy is about 6" in length. Up for your consideration. I have a very hard to find Vibra-Coy fishing decoy. The Blackhawk Enterprises, also known as"Vivra-Coy" was a combanation fishing lure and fish decoy. The company started in 1951 and closed in 1952. Blackhawk decoys had a very limited production and are very desireable and hard to find. Theo"Ted" Himmerwright of Edgerton, Wisconsin ran the company and gives credit for the decoys to Mr. george S. Bachay, a sportswriter for the Janesville, wisconsin newspaper, the gazette. The decoys came in a cardboard box with the blackhawk fish decoy on the top. Overall, the decoy/box are in very good condition, from 1 thru 10, I would rate them a 7 or 8. 19th c. Sucker fish decoy found in Port Huron MIchigan
The Holy Grail of fish decoys! I think this was the third decoy I ever purchased to be followed by 250+. if you like patina you just hit the gold mine. Theres a bent nail on the top for a line tie. as you can see the tail has been broke off. The really interesting thing about this decoy was they drilled a hole thru the nose end of the decoy and poured the lead in there. I've never seen that before. it just has the most worn and beautiful patina i've seen. reminds me of an old Gibson les Paul gold top. Not sure if thats your kind of thing, I dig it. length aprox 7in the reserve is 45.00 Thanks so much for looking.
