Up for auction is a used vintage defined Abu Garcia fishing pole with a wooden handle. It has five hoops for the line and all are in great condition. The descriptive label is worn so I am not positive on what model or how dated it is. However. It is very stout, perhaps used for steelhead or salmon? Vintage Garcia Conlon live fiber 2 piece 7' spinning rod. Model D-452 medium action. It is in mint shape with very little wear. Ferrules, guides and wraps are like new, cork has a tiny bit of loss from being moved around in the tube over the years but is not dry rot. Reel seat is like new with a tiny bit of anodizing loss also from being in the tube. The Garcia logo is on the butt. One guide on the butt section, black anodized single lock down reel seat, and 4 guides on the tip. The cardboard tube it came in is worn and there is not top. A great rod to collect or fish. This is a model 2500A and it is rated for 1/16 to 1/4 ounce lures with fishing line rated at 1 to 6 LB test. What could possibly be more fun when you are pan fishing? For Sale is a Incredible rod by Garcia. From the Avocado Series Model#8294. This is 6'6" Medium Action. It has 4 premium chrome guides and a chrome tip. Polished lower wooden handle with white foam upper. Stainless Steel Reel seal. 20-40lb line and 1.5oz-3.5oz lures. Garcia was purchasing in 1980 and went by the name ABU Garcia at that time. This is still under the Garcia company name which from the late 40's to the late 70's was the largest fishing tackle company during that time. This Vintage/ Antique Rod was Made inbetween 1973-1974 and looks to be unused. Excellent condition from my untrained eye. No obvious dings or scratches. Looks to have no wear or tear. Chrome and Stainless are excellent shape. As you can see in the photo the white upper hand is still white after 40 YEARS. The larger guide has one fine undisplaced fracture and the smaller guide has two opposing fine undisplaced fractures. Both are new old stock items. They are not recovered from used rods. For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this great fishing rod from Garcia Conolon. It is a one piece 6 1/2 foot Live Fiber rod. The model is 49-85 and it is marked Heavy Action. This is one of the older rods. Made in the USA. You can see the very heavy and unusual combination of eyes and rollers. It has no line rating on it but certainly it would handle 50 pound line and likely quite a bit heavier. This one is used but in good condition. There is a little wear on the butt section of the handle but there is no damage. There have been no repairs. All of the eyes. Wraps and seat are good.
