Up for bid is an early 1920's Heddon Vamp Spook fishing lure. It is made of wood. Has glass eyes and early L Rig hardware. It measures 4 1/2" long, and the metal lip is marked Heddon Dowagiac. I would grade it in fair to good condition. It has age cracks, a few paint scratches, slight blemishes and a few teeth marks. It appears to be complete and all original. ok.What we have here is a strinking open legged LUNY FROG.Might be the nicest one I have ever seen.possible a few flakes but in really special condition.in a OLD Unmarked brush box that damn close to perfect.box is amazing. second we have a Giant Vanp of the 7300 series I think.Glass eyes look great.there are a couple of rubs and a few pointers on this bait.but it def in very strong collection.it is in what i believe is the correct box. But there is some paper missing on one side and only the first 2 numbers(73) are visable.box shows a lot of wear but its nice if u appreciate the complete package. This is a vintage Heddon Vamp with very nice crack free glass eyes. It has scrapes and scratches and the paint shows signs of age but still very nice for one of these hard to find lures. This color. Called the Natural or Mullet Scale was made from 1924 to 1934; after that date, they changed the brown natural color to green-the brown scale vamps are very rare-I haven't seen any of these on EBay and you won't find many on other fishing sites-they were made for a short time-and because of their age, there aren't many of them available The lure is in used condition and measures about 4 1/2 inches. Here i have my Vamp 2 up for auction because no longer use it It has many effects to use when playing your guitar! I no longer have the book for it. But everything else is still there: power chord, foot peddle, Vamp2. And not pictured, I do have the original gig bag that goes with it. It would be great for the beginner our there who likes different effects. Also. you can program and set up your own effects! I personally haven't tried those functions, it would have been fun! You can also put your DJ headset on and plug this in the Vamp, plug your favorite music to practice with and. play your guitar all at once on the Vamp. HEDDON Vampire This early Heddon Vampire was one of about 50 in a display purchased at auction several years ago. I was told that all the lures were painted by a Heddon factory employee. For his own collection at least 20 years ago. The lures all have their original hardware, and all the lures were painted in this Strawberry(Creamy Yellow with Red& Black spots) color. The finish on all of his lures is Top Notch and a thing of beauty! I will be listing several more of his lures in the near future. NOTE: This is the earliest version of the Vampire. This is a collection of over 2.000 lures! LURE MARKINGS: The belly is marked in gold letters: Heddon Vamp. The age is known to be 1934 to 1948 as this version has the FLAP-RIG hook hanger hardware. The Flap-Rig hardware was the 2nd style 2-piece hardware Heddon used. LURE CONDITION: The lure measures aprox. 4-3/8" long. We inspect every lure with a 10x jewelers glass. Vintage Heddon Vamp with one glass eye and 2 piece hardware. Series 7500 and the color was either White or Luminous but it does not glow anymore if it was. The lure is dirty and in rough shape.
