This was the largest tackle box in the Winchester line with two removable trays, both of which are included with box. This is pretty unusual as many trays are lost, especially the small one in the lower compartment. The Winchester trade mark is painted inside the top lid. Condition is really very good considering the age and how the piece was used in life. There are the usual dents and scratches from usage, light surface corrosion(but no holes or feathering of the tin material) paint wear. Owner's initials painted on the front. But the original green paint is mostly intact as well as the interior black Japaning. Latches still work and the wooden handle weathered but intact. A picture of the box's listing on page 184 in the 1926/27 Winchester Store catalog is shown. Reserve price on this item is $300. It has some damage on the one side but does not effect the operation. It also has a line leveler. There is 1 Shakespeare Durango. It is in good condition and spins and turns freely. It has a reversible handle. The other Shakespeare is a Model 32 Criterion dated 1960. It has a line leveler and silencer. The other reel pictured has no names or markings. It works very hard. Fishing reels. Vintage. Lot includes 2 spinning, 1 casting, and 2 fly fishing.
Five different vintage fishing reels plus a leather Heddon reel carrying case and a vintage reel box for a Shakespeare 1946M Service level Winding Reel. All five reels are in fair shape but have had better days. Spinning reels are a Garcia Abu-matic 170 made in Sweden. Reel does not work(won't crank in line) and a Heddon#150. This reel is missing the spool cover but does work. The one casting reel is a South Bend#300"anti-bacl lash" model D. This reel works fine. Needs a little WD-40. Lot has two fly fishing reels.one is a Southbend"oren-o-matic" balanced reel#1130 model D. This is a nice looking reel but doesn't work the way it should. Last is a fly fishing reel that I think is a H-I made in New York. Not sure as to make as there is no markings on it. This reel too needs work. As I said. One has another marking above where it says Japan but I am not sure if it is a maker's name or what it says. This one also has a"B" stamped below where it reads Japan. Both reels are same size(approx. 2 1/2" in dia. Reels both get stuck mid crank, and both have clicker issues. There is also finish loss and overall wear. One of the reels has a loose inner post. 2 Vintage Fly Fishing Reels Martin & Pflueger + 50 Flies
Direct from My Grandfather's ancient tackle box here is a very nice assortment of Fly fishing flies and 2 reels. There are right around 50 flies. Now. I don't know anything about the diferent kinds of flies, or if he made these himself or bought them, but they're all tiny and different. They come in an old small film cannister. You also get 2 reels. They both have line in them, but I can't vouch for if they work or not, though I don't think he would have kept them if they didn't work. The blue one is a Martin, automatic Mohawk 8A, the slightly rusty metal colored one is a Pflueger( No. 775 with a bulldog ingrained on it.

There are severl dents and what look like someone pressed a screw driver against the metal Paint is still pretty good. Buy as is but remember this is a very scarce item. Vintage fishing reels lot of 3: Penn, South Bend, Shakespeare
Up for bid are 3 vintage fishing reels. The 1st is a Penn Reels 101 spinning reel. 4:9:1 gear ratio. Looks good works great. I've used this spinner myself, I know that it works great. The 2nd is a South Bend SpinCast 63 Model A(Made in the USA) Good ole fashion reel that still works. Great as a collectable or take it 2 the lake! The 3d is a Shakespeare NO. 1765 Wonderflyte Model EG(also Made in the USA) Another good vintage reel but not in working order. Has all the pieces just doesn't engage after button is released. I don't really tinker with these but don't imagine it's a hard fix. All 3 of these reels are great collector pieces without the hefty price tag.
