But one of my books identifies the hook attachments on the three ... morelures with the side holes as having been used by Pflueger about 1928. The book also indicates that Heddon used similar hook attachment types. Lot includes: 1) Yellow lure with 4 1/4 inch long body and three holes in each side. Holes angle forward and at least the rear two are connected. All three of the lures with side holes have a swivel attachment on the front. This lure is in pretty good condition, with only a couple lines of crazing and light soiling. 2) Another 4 1/4 inch lure similar to number one. This lure only has one belly hook. A screw on the bottom front apparently attaches to the device that holds the swivel. There is a tiny hole drilled in the bottom front that would allow the attachment of a second hook. I don't know if lure ever had a second belly hook or not. Lure has scales on back and applied glitter on sides. Lure has some paint crazing, a couple tiny chips on the front, and a spot of soiling on the back. 3) Smaller 3 1/16 inch long lure similar to first two, but with two holes each side. One rear hook, one belly hook. Letters"et" on bottom. Jet? Scales on sides. Good paint with some crazing lines. Some soiling left side. 4) Yellow popper with 2 1/4 inch long body. Some paint wear on front, some paint crazing, some soiling. Please inspect my photos for condition details. Check out my! I am listing a few more lots of old lures. $8 covers packaging. Watch for lots of lures and lots lots more! LURE MARKINGS: The front prop has the BULLDOG T.M. The making reads: Pflueger(picture of Bulldog) Trade Mark Made in U.S.A. The age is believed to be 1927 era as documented in karl White's book on Plug Vol. I. LURE CONDITION: The lure measures aprox. 3" long. This version has the small EMBOSSED EYES in excellent condition. The"Neverfail" lure has what we call"General Use and Aging" scattered throughout. You can see the Fisherman use and aging of the older wood lure in the photos. Our use of the word"multiple" means the lure has a combination of in excess of(10) blemishes. General use blemishes include the following: Small hook nicks. Hook swings, scratches, hairline scratches, paint wear areas, paint loss or paint flakes, and soiling scattered throughout as seen below. Remember, the lure has a combination of all these things.
