Vintage Taxidermy Wall Mount Blue Gold Flying Fish
This is a vintage taxidermy flying fish. Recently purchased at an estate sale. I am unsure of it's age. After doing a bit of research on Google, I believe it is a Fauna Grecae Dactylopterus Vulgaris. It is in good used and vintage condition with a few chipped points and, what appears to be, 2 repaired wings. It measures 12 1/2" long and 16" across. There is a hook on the back for hanging. Walleye Real Taxidermy Driftwood wall mount Vintage
For sale is a Walleye mount that has been on the wall for many years. It was old even before i bought it! It is a real fish that has been mounted. Not one of the fiberglass ones of today. The walleye is about 19 inches from nose to tail. It is mounted by a peg sticking out of the driftwood. The driftwood also had a hanger on the back for mounting to a wall. The driftwood is a hefty piece weighing in at 3 pounds and a half pounds! The condition of this piece overall is pretty good. There are some knicks on the tail and maybe some on the fins, i tried to get them in the pictures the best i could. If there are any questions please feel free to ask. It is in good shape. And it is mounted on a piece of driftwood. Signed and dated 1983 on back of fish. Measures around 23" and mounted on a beautiful aged piece of drift wood. Northern pike musky head mount vintage macabre oddity taxidermy
This is a vintage musky or pike head mounted to a little block of wood. About 6" of projection from the wall when hanging, and 4" high. It looks like it was prepared by filling it partially with plaster of paris. Some of the skin is cracking through, but it has a very unique character looking back at you with yellow eyes and little stubby teeth. I cannot verify for sure if it is 100% authentic. It may not be a fish at all but an alien baby for all I know.

T hey are tightly packed and interlocking via small cusps. These t riangular. Pointed and blade like chompers are used for rapid puncture and shearing. CONDITION: This taxidermy was in GOOD Pre-Owned Used condition until bugs got to it. And left tiny holes on the body/head. Also. When I was done taking picures. I t fell out of my hands. As I caught it. The bottom jaw hit my camera ... moreand broke a tooth. See Last Photo. Y ou may also notice what looks to be blood on the jaw. It is not- This is something my son did. I think he added some color to the eyes as well. Regardless. The fish still looks great up on a shelf, and is a very cool conversation piece. By the way. Up for auction is this unique. Vintage, metallic Blue Marlin Fish mounted. The plaque on front reads. CAUGHT OFF KEY ISLAMORADO FLORIDA JAN. 20- 1940" on the back the plaque reads. WEIGHT 52 POUNDS LENGTH 6'8" It measures approximately 11" x 4" It is mounted to a veneered piece of wood and the veneer is split on the front and back as seen in photos. It has holes in it where it was attached to the wall. The wood is also curved as seen in photos The color of the fish is aged. The fish is metallic but not magnetic. This thing is very cool. Vintage taxidermy fish. I think it is a northern muskie but not sure(not a fisherman) label says"Mounted by Larry Jones Taxidermist Bobcaygeon Ontario Canada" the fish is 26 inches long, board about the same, 26x12, weighs over 7 pounds before packing. I will do my best to pack carefully but it is possible that the side fin especially will come loose, it is already a little wobbly, so may need a little repair. Pickup is free at my store near Pittsburgh PA. I will pack the shipment. No longer able to ship foreign, new regulations disallow any animal products without US Fish and Game license, which I do not have.

Vintage Taxidermy Real Skin Striped Bass Fish Mount Huge 37 lbs.... 40" long
You are bidding on a Vintage stuffed Striped bass. The Striper is huge. It measures right at 40" in length and 17" from the top of the fin to the bottom of the dorsal fin.The fish weighed 37 lbs when caught. I'm guessing the piece is 20 years old. Its a nice Large piece that would look great over that fireplace in your cabin or in that man cave. The mount is older and does have a few minor issues. The fins have seen better days but still look good. The body is in overall good condition showing minor cosmetic issues. Nothing major or anything that detracts from hat awesome vintage look. This fish in itself is rare simply because it weighed 37 lbs. I know stripers get huge but I have never caught one this big. To have a few this size stuffed it would cost you at least $300. Up for auction is a Northern Pike or Musky. The head is mounted onto a board with small nails. The mouth is fixed open showing all of the gnarly teeth inside. VINTAGE 24 INCH LARGEMOUTH BASS SKIN MOUNT TAXIDERMY I am offering for your consideration this geuine 13 lbs. 8oz. largemouth bass caught by a friend in Oxford. Florida, from Lake Miona in December of 1986. Ideal for a wall hanger in your Mancave/bar/cabin. This belonged to a friend who caught this fish and no longer has room for it in his new mancave. Taxidermy is well done, By Dolfi in Serrento Florida and cost $8.00 per inch back in 1986, and has original slight flaws like they all do. I wiped down, as it was dusty from years of hanging. Fish measures approx. 23 inches, but tail is somewhat curved, so possibly 25" Huge girth made this a heavy fish. What a impressive story for you bass fishermen to tell it anyway you want. By the way, this fish was caught on the norteast corner of the lake. This item will be double boxed, with innerbox ... morecovered in foam peanuts, and protection around it. 54" Barricuda. Mounted Stuffed Taxidermy. Wall Mount. Vintage.
Folks. This is Bob the Barricuda. He is about four-and-a-half feet long, 54" He was taxidermied by J.T. Reese Taxidermist Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My guess is that he is from the 1950s or 1960s. He is in worn condition. The tips of all the fins are/were damaged, with the tips frayed or broken. The top rear fin had about an 1-1/2" tip missing, I made a new tip out of Femo. It is glued on with a wood brace holding it on. I did various touch up painting on the fin tips and around his lips. I did an okay, not great, job with the painting. Please see photos. My touch-up painting is a bit too gray, and not metallic enough. One of his front lower teeth was also missing. I made a replacement tooth from Femo, painted it half-decently, and glued it in. So, Bob is only in fairly good condition. It is a one-sided mount, meant to be ... morewall hung. The wire wall hang is strong; he's ready to be on a new wall. So, that said, here's the story, as it was told to me. Bob is a Republican barricuda. I know that might sound odd, but it was important to the fellow I got it from to communicate that to me. I'm now passing it along to you. Bob the Barricuda is a Republican, but he gets along with Democrats too. I researched. J.T. Reese Taxidermist Inc. on the Florida Secretary of State website. It was in business as a corporation from 1957 to 1994. I found a 1993 article on Reese. Here is an excerpt: Our No. 1 customer is the tourist. agrees Bill Allan, president of the Fort Lauderdale-based J.T. Reese Taxidermist. 34" VINTAGE TARPON WALL MOUNT BY J T REESE
This a molded mount by J T Reese taxidermy of Fort Lauderdale Fl. the company is no longer in business. It has been mounted two ways as there are four holes on the back side and it has a wall mount wire now. The mount is sound and as described there are some areas that are not perfect. Fin tips have been bumped and there is a small area in the fifth picture where the finish has been damaged. The color of the mount is that of an inland fish which are darker and sometimes brassy. the tarpon of inland water also have darker fins. All that said the mount still looks great when its on the wall.

Texidermy Fish Sawtooth Shark Bill Mount "Awsome" Large Antique Vintage
This is a Large Sawtooth sharks bill. The bill about 30 to 40 years old, Please look at all the pictures they can tell you more then I can. What I do know is that it has all of it's teeth but the one on the end that looks to be lost while the fish was alive. The measurements are almost 32" long and 5 1/2" wide at the widest point tooth to tooth. The larger of the teeth are 3/4" to almost 1" as the picture shows. The teeth start out 1 3/4" apart at the base and gradually get closer. There are 47 teeth in total. This is a very unique and awesome piece. Please see all pictures as the item is as pictured. It is in great condition to be so old. It does have a couple damaged teeth that look like they were done while it was alive. It is a vintage/ antique taxidermy piece. This is a Beautiful Vintage Largemouth Bass Fish Mount from Lake Jackson Florida. 21" in length. Lake Jackson is located near Tallahassee and is where World record bass have been harvested. This Bass was very well preserved. No damage to the fins. A couple of spots that may clean off or could easily be touched up. VINTAGE Real Skin Large Mouth Bass Taxidermy 21" Chestnut Wood Wall Mount For sale is a VINTAGE Real Skin Large Mouth Bass Taxidermy 21" Chestnut Wood Wall Mount. This Bass was caught and mounted in 1980 by a local fisherman friend at Lake Hickory. North Carolina. The bass is 21" long and 11" wide(including fins) The mount is chestnut wood and is 22" long by 5.5" wide. Mount sets 8.5" off the wall. My friend passed recently and his wife is parting with some of his"treasured" collection. This mount is in good vintage condition, the fins are rough on the edges but it is overall very nice. Small cracks around bottom fins(see photos) but they aren't broken. There are some beautiful colors here as you can see in the photos. Small hook on the back for hanging vertically(head pointing upward) or add ... moreanother hook to hang anyway you like. Please examine the photos carefully. I take great effort to take quality photos of all angles and a picture is worth a thousand words. I guarantee the item to be as described. Nice Brown Trout mount that is a bit dusty. I do not know the proper way to clean it. So I will do nothing. I don't want to take the chance I may ruin it. I know very little about fish mounts but am thinking this may be a real skin mount. There is a seam on the back side and fins look like they may be real. They a bit tattered. We bought several fish replicas including one with a label from Al Pflueger so it is likely that this was purchased from Pflueger but lost the label over the years. This barracuda measures 34" in length and has a secure metal hanger on the back. Teeth and glass eye. Condition is good- he's just been hanging around the house for the last 30 or so years. The tip of the rear dorsal fin is slightly bent and the paint needs touching up.
