This is a vintage Lew's Speed Stick#4-16 HOBB baitcasting Rod. It is used and in good condition. It is Made in Japan and has a removable Lew's Fuji speedgrip handle. The handle is made by Fuji. There is 6 Fuji guides and Fuji Rod Tip which have"Faster than carbide" Speed Hard Ring inserts. This Lew's measures 5'10" in length. Medium long power, and handles 3/8 oz.1 oz. Baits. On the speed grip handle, the tip of the bottom trigger is chipped off. You can see this in the photos. I have described this rod to the best of my ability. I think this would make someone a nice back up or every day reel if you don't mind the handle is different and the handle nut is not covered. Other than this it seems like a very decent smooth reel. I would use it myself but it is the wrong hand. The magnetic control on side is faded but always set these on"halfway" unless windy then increase slightly. I used to work on Lews reels and they are some of the best. NOTE: Handle Nut is not shown but is on reel.NOTICE this reel has a"Quick take apart" feature for easy spool loading and to pick out line tangles. This is a VERY handy feature and works simply by sliding lever under reel to one side then turn left side of reel, magnet side) down and then pull apart. These were known as one of the smoothest baitcasters made and are still highly saught after by both fishermen and collectors. This reel appears to be in very good condition. Showing very little, if any use at all. There is one small mark on the steel portion of the handle(see photo) and a few very small marks on the top side of the reel. All purchased in 2013, opened up, cleaned, bearings flushed and relubed with quantum hot sauce and the reel gears itself have their grease replaced with cals purple grease. This is a 6.3:1 LEFT handed reel. This reel comes with a less than day old full spool of McCoy Mean Green in 10lb. This line is by far my favourite copoly and is retail $10 a spool.
