Tucked beneath a hill covered with red pine trees is the spacious ranch style building of "Red Pine Lodge". The lodge has a pleasant rustic lounge, a large dining-room and three modern bedrooms. This is an ideal family vacation centre. Here we have lovely white sandy beaches and modern cottages, completely furnished for housekeeping, suitable for 2 - 10 persons.
We also offer American Plan with delicious home-cooked meals served family style. Shore lunches are a must. You've noticed it . . . Cities have sprawled out into the countryside, quiet fishing lakes have been transformed into aquatic playgrounds, and country lanes have become crowded super highways. Yet man's need to relax in the great outdoors or cast a lure over a pool for walleye is more urgent than ever. Due to our remote northern location and the vast amounts of wilderness to the north, our bear hunters see wolves at the feeding stations.
To harvest a wolf while bear hunting, you need to buy an additional Small Game License and a Wolf Tag.

You get to see the beautiful fall colors, breathe in that crisp clean air and get some good exercise.
We do not have an organized Grouse Hunt. Hunters just pay the regular cabin rental rates. You will have to check with us to see if any cabins are open because grouse hunting season overlaps our Black Bear hunt and Moose hunt, which is a very busy time of year for us.

From our location, we have access to hundreds of miles of wilderness trails, old logging roads, streams, rivers and marshes where Moose are constantly seen. Our experienced guides know where to go so you can get your Moose.
Our Moose hunt takes place in WMU 30 and WMU 31. Our Moose hunting guests enjoy an extremely high success rate with many large Bulls and Cows being harvested. We also offer resident hunters accommodations with their own adult tags.
Our guides assist with retrieval and field dressing. There is a local butcher that can process the meat for you.

This is a fairly new outpost cabin and is very specious with three bedrooms, equipped kitchen and living area. It sleeps up to 8 people comfortably. This cabin is fully equipped with running hot and cold water, inside shower and bathroom facilities.
It will be very hard to find a remote outpost cabin with the comforts and accessibility to great fishing like Coonies Outpost Camp

The outpost is located on a beautiful 4-acre island and surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in the area.
The fishing in this part of the lake is awesome. You will have access to many miles of shoreline with really interesting structure, which attracts big fish. Walleye, Northern Pike and Jumbo Perch are all common and easy to catch. In the spring there is a good population of Whitefish in the area.

If you own ATVs, you are more than welcome to bring them. We have hundreds of miles of trails, animal paths, streams and old logging roads where you can explore the wilderness for ... morehours. If you come to Foleyet for fishing or hunting, you can use your ATV to access remote lakes that people never fish or use your ATV to conveniently access some of our more remote hunting areas. ATVs are also convenient for animal retrieval.
All we ask is your ATV has a well performing muffler and the vehicle is not leaking any fluids. Please contact us for more detailed information.
