Pair of Vintage Wire Ladies Glove Forms
ANTIQUE GLOVE FORMS I found these metal forms in a box with some gloves from the 1920’s. I don’t really know how old they are. But I suspect no later than the 1950’s and probably earlier. They are metal and since a magnet sticks to them I’m thinking they are made of steel. Each one is made of one single length of steel and the bottom ends can be squeezed together to minimize their width. They measure about 11” long and 3 ½” wide at the squeezable bottom and about 4” across at the fingers. The thumb stands out from the rest. I believe these were used to dry wet gloves so they would keep their shape…but that is just an educated guess. I can find no breaks or rust spots on them and they appear to be in very nice condition. I try to describe my items fairly and honestly to the best of my ability but please keep in mind that I am no expert ... moreso please feel free to email me should you have any questions at all about them.
