VTG 1950’s Rem Dri Dux Green Canvas Fishing Hunting Sportsman’s Vest Coat SZ 44
This is a very nice Rem Dri Dux olive green light canvas fishing vest that I believe to date from the 1950’s in very good condition. The olive green canvas is free of any holes or tears. And some minor staining on the front and inside of the vest that is to be expected of an item of its age and does not detract from the appearance or functionality overall(pictured. The front of the vest has two large buttoned flapped pockets at the bottom and two smaller buttoned flapped pockets on the chest on either side. The front has a 4 button closure and the vest includes all original buttons. There is a snapped loop on the upper left of the chest area with an H.C Cook“Pal” angler’s tool attached. The back of the vest has a very large game pocket with buttoned flap access from each side of the vest in the hip area. The inside of the vest has small open ... morepockets on either side. The brand tag on the inside of the vest reads“Rem Dri Dux. Water Proof, Guaranteed Water Repellant. The size tag reads size 44 and the vest measures inches from shoulder to bottom hem and inches across underneath the arms. The average men's arm measurement is 31.5 inches, women's is 28.5 inches) I do not give measurements for swimsuits and bras. Up for Auction is an Orvis Fishing Vest. In great condition. Small spot. Have to look close to see it, but needed to mention, see pic. Multiple sizes and shapes of pockets, all with zipper closures, all in working condition. Mesh pockets have velcro closure. Back side has kangaroo type pockets with snap on each side. Also has thermometer that reads"Early Winters" On the same ring is a key that works the lock on back of vest. No clue what it's for, but it must have a purpose. I feel this piece is VIntage, but I couldn't verify. Overall color is a soft army green, and lighter color around collar and pockets is a light beige. Chest measurements are taken depending on the type of garment; a t-shirt or athletic top will be measured flat with no stretch, armpit to armpit. The next outer layer I generally measure about ... morea half inch inside each armpit, and an outer layer coat or jacket I'll allow a full inch either side. This is to allow for the layers of clothes worn underneath. Arm length measurements I take from the collar to the cuff- this is because the shoulder seam point differs a lot from brand to brand- and a lot of t ailors use the collar to cuff as a more consistent figure(as a rough guide. The average men's arm measurement is 31.5 inches, women's is 28.5 inches) I do not give measurements for swimsuits and bras. Mostly because the y end up pretty well meaningless(due to the different stretch properties of different fabrics and the difficulty of measuring around bra cups) You will notice that many of my descriptions are similar- light/slight/some wear. No other apparent damage or defects. I n the process of listing each item I check for holes and stains in the shell and lining. Make certain that all zippers are in good working order and/or all buttons are present, pockets aren't holey, and there is no obvious smoke or pet odor. Chest measurements are taken depending on the type of garment; a t-shirt or athletic top will be measured flat with no stretch, armpit to armpit. The next outer layer I generally ... moremeasure about a half inch inside each armpit, and an outer layer coat or jacket I'll allow a full inch either side. This is to allow for the layers of clothes worn underneath. Arm length measurements I take from the collar to the cuff- this is because the shoulder seam point differs a lot from brand to brand- and a lot of t ailors use the collar to cuff as a more consistent figure(as a rough guide. The average men's arm measurement is 31.5 inches, women's is 28.5 inches) I do not give measurements for swimsuits and bras. Mostly because the y end up pretty well meaningless(due to the different stretch properties of different fabrics and the difficulty of measuring around bra cups) You will notice that many of my descriptions are similar- light/slight/some wear.
