Heathkit Thermo Spotter MI-104 fish finder Here is a very nice VINTAGE fish finder. It is from about 1973. Heathkit was a company that made electronic kits for people to assemble themselves thereby getting a high quality item at significant savings. This is a great collectors item or use it as intended. This fish finder works by finding the temperature and depth at which the species that they are fishing for is known to prefer. There is a chart on the side of the fish finder that shows this info(see picture#2) The cable that is lowered into the water is marked for depth as shown in the chart in picture#3. The unit is off until you push the red button and then the temperature can be seen on the gauge(see pictures 4& 5) It requires 1 AA battery which is NOT INCLUDED and will not be shipped. A tested and working vintage HeathKit Fish Spotter-depth finder. As you can see in the pictures it not only works great but looks nice as well. The case is in very nice condition for its age. Clean and is not dented. Transducer and cord has no damage and the part number of the transducer is still on it. It is possibly unused but I'm not sure. VINTAGE HEATHKIT FISH SPOTTER DEPTH FINDER. MI-2900. Great working flasher.
Great working Heathkit 2900 fish finder/flasher. SEE PICTURES AND READ! The wires were cut and extended from the battery compartment and we have been running it off either a 12 volt battery or rechargable jump starter system. You can attach the wires again and and use two 6v batteries if you wanted but this was easier for me. Comes with mount if you want to attach the transducer to a board. We used it strictly for ice fishing but recently upgraded so decided to sell a couple older flashers I have. Listed a Lowrance as well. Ask any questions. Hoped someone could use this who doesn't want to spend 300 on a brand new system. Thank you.
