Travel routes for land, sea and air. On the inside back cover are photos of the Battle of Santa Cruz in the Solomon Islands so the date of this atlas is at least after October 1942.The front and back cover of this atlas are cardboard and are not in good condition showing wear, tears, holes and some bending and creases which includes discoloration, worn edges, small tears and stains. There is also a map for Global Time Zones. There are 48 pages in this book. Airline distances, etc. Pl ease be aware that these Road Maps are anywhere from 10 to 90 years old. They are printed on paper that is not acid free and in most cases have not been stored in the best way. So some of the maps you are buying may be in a condition that reflects both of these facts. The map you get may be worn or lightly torn along the fold lines due to the acidity of the paper and being folded for years. They may also be discolored or mottling spots again due to the acidity of the paper. The borders and fold lines of the maps may also have tears. On occasion maps may smell musty from the way they have been stored ... morein the past. When the map is kept in an open area the musty smell will fade away in time. College of New Jersey. This atlas contains his best information on many physical aspects of the Earth known at the mid 19th Century. Condition: Atlas is complete with all pages and maps. One text page has some ink markings but the rest of the atlas looks great, all maps would look great framed with bright colors and fantastic illustrations of mountains and rivers and volcanoes and wind routes and current routes, and much more. The outer covers are faded and bumped and scratched but well attached to spine and in very good working condition. The spine has missing leather and scratched/rubbed leather but still in very good condition for its age. All pages are in good condition with just a little age tanning and some soiling marks to the first pages, just a couple age spots to one map. No chipping or brittle pages. A great find.
