There is a hairline crack in one of the handles and when when the plates are together I can see a small sliver of light between the plates. Antique Pyramid Fishing Sinker Weight Mold Bronze
For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this rare find.an antique mold for lead pyramid sinkers. It is extremely heavy and non-magnetic metal that appears to be hand forged and hand finished. Im pretty sure it is bronze. It is some 8 1/2 inches long and it will produce one pyramid sinker approximately two inches long. The two halfs are held together with a hinge and four screws. Anyway. This is a Vintage. Lead, Split Shot Sinker, Mold in very good, used condition. The mold is about 9 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 1/2" It was made by, C. Palmer Mfg. West Newton, PA 15089" and is their model No.500. This versatile mold makes 5 different sizes of split shot sinkers, 4 at a time. Makes BB. 30, 4, 5, 7 The mold seems tight and the edges seem sharp and clean. I do not see any nicks or flaws other than those minor items listed above. The steel center piece is in fine shape and is with the mold. Ready to use.
