Cosmetically very good and clean for its age. Keys are pristine with the exception of the highest"A" key being sticky. Case shows a bit of wear and aging; metal has chipping finish and corrosion of one of the corners. There are a few scuffs on the top and some light white paint ... moreor marks of some sort, and two significant scuffs on the bottom. Trek 420 Frame/Fork 63cm Classic Road/Sport Touring Tru-Temper Tubing
Used and works great! There are no dents. Dings or cracks but the paint has chips and scratches. The seat-tube is 63cm measured center to center and the top-tube is 60.5cm center to center. I am not sure what the stand-over heights is but the rear spacing is 126mm. The bottom bracket and headset threads are English and the headset is included. Vintage Tru Tone Acoustic Guitar unique, made for Western Auto, New Strings rare
Vintage Tru Tone Guitar. This brand was made for Western Auto stores. It has typical scratches and dings. But overall in decent shape. It also has a"glossy" finish on the fretboard with avery beautiful woodgrain. I have never seen a guitar like this before. The tuners are free and easy to turn. I strung it up with new light gauge strings. Tuned it and stretched the strings and it held tune pretty well. I was surprised at the sound of this guitar. the best way to describe it is. It's like it has built in reverb. I kept playing it to listen. Very interesting, never heard one like that. The NECK has been glued. What you see in the pic's is the finish scratched away it looks like. Pretty sure someone glued it, BUT it is firm and tight. The action is low and nice. Easy to play. The two treble strings"buzz" after the ... moreseventh fret. If this guitar needs anything it'd be a new bridge. The saddle is good, but the bridge is so-so, it'd be a cheap fix and could help eliminate the fret buzz higher up on the neck. If you're banging out cowboy chords you'll never know. Unique. The large chamber combined with closed tip opening make for a perfect classical mouthpiece. Most Buescher mouthpieces from this era are either completely mangled or being held on to till the bitter end. Please inspect the photos closely for condition issues. I usually play 8 to 10 hours a week. 75% on alto and the rest of the time split up between soprano, tenor, and bari. My weapons of choice are Selmer Super Action 80 Serie II, paired with either a Theo Wanne Kali or Durga on alto and tenor depending upon my mood.
