Up for auction is a Vintage Bank Type Sinker Mold#103 from C Palmer Mfg Inc in West Newton PA. It is from my father-in-law who was an avid lifetime fisherman and hunter. Sizes are 2.5. 3.5, 4.5, 5.5 and 7 ounces. Please see the pictures for the condition of the item. There is a hairline crack in one of the handles and when when the plates are together I can see a small sliver of light between the plates. Vintage Lot Cast Iron Melting Pot Pouring Ladles Fishing Lead Sinker Casts Molds
This is a great vintage lot for someone who wants to make their own fishing sinkers. It includes the following: 1 Melting Pot- 8" diameter. 4 3/4" tall& handle brings it to 9 1/2" used and rusty, but still feels solid 2 Ladles- 1 is 15 1/2" long. 3 3/4" tall& 4 1/2" diameter. The other is 15" long and 1 5/8" x 2 7/8" used and rusty, still feel solid. 1 Casting Mold with handles- has some pre-made sinkers and the numbers 535 and 605 on them. 2 Casting Mold plates- both are reversible. Having different shapes and sizes on each side. I'm sorry I do not know much about them such as brand and size. I just know they are old. I can't see that they are marked other than the one that says 535 and 605. In any case, they include a variety of shapes and sizes and are sure to get you started ... morewith a nice array of sinkers. The barrel sh aped lead weights do not a hole in them and weight 10 grams each. There are roughly 17 0 of these weighing just a bout 4 pounds. The sticks have 3 holes in each one located at the ends and middle. Some of them are missing an ... moreend. The total weight on the sticks com bined is 2 pounds. Most of the sticks are@3" long. The tear drop lead weights all have one hole on one end. There are 2 shapes(tear drop and then more rectangular) All of them have 1/2 imprinted on them. The teardrops weight@16 grams while the rectangular ones weigh@12 grams. There are more tear drops than rectangular ones. Total combined w eight of these are 2 1/2 pounds. You will get everything you see in the photos. Check photos carefully. We are not fishing experts and have tried to represent the item(s) as accurately as possible.
