Here is an old bobber that was found on a century farm. It is 8 inches long and 5/8 round on the big end. It is light so I think its balsa wood. The line wind and the eye are brass. I think they were made to fish over the side of a boat. Has like a swirl paint finish on top end. Neat old bobber.

Vintage antique old wooden fishing float bobber painted red black stripes 7-7/8"
A vintage wooden painted fishing float with red and black stripes. It is distressed with some shrinkage and wear to the surface and a bit of loss to the paint/surface. It measures approximately 7-7/8" long and we believe it dates to the mid 20th century. Most notably there is a split from one end measuring approximately 1" in length inward.
