This vintage minnow bucket actually floats and sports, in blue graphics, an eagle with outstretched wings. Graphics are the same on both sides of bucket. Bucket is a Fenwick Woodstream that hails from Canada- Niagara Falls, Ontario. There are two buckets, one inside the other, and the inner bucket can be removed. This inner bucket has a Styrofoam lining in the upper part that makes it"float" in the water. Both buckets have handles. This particular one has one arm. As you can see it has the original seat and bolster but they are filthy and I would imagine you would like some fabulous mid century style upholstery on them anyway. One of the screw holes on the base where the foot attatches has been repaired and it seems to be holding up well but it may need to be re addressed at some point. This is an extremely rare piece of gas station equipment from the early years. It is museum quality. It is an anti-freeze hydrometer with a thermometer and floating can chart from Allstate. Simpsons- Sears. That’s a yardstick in the first picture showing its length. Over all its about 31” long. From the bottom up. The siphon tube is 11” to the glass to siphon tube connector. The connector has printed“Pat. No. 1985456” and“Other Pat’s Pend” E. Edelmann& Co. The unique glass thermometer measures 13/16” wide and is 3” long. It has a scale from 60 ° F to 180 ° F on the front. The backside says“ALLSTATE” Made in the USA” Ser. No. 932-1” Anti-Freeze Tester No 7739” Sears Roebuck& Co. USA” and“Simpsons-Sears Limited” The thermometer to hydrometer reducer has a few tiny aging cracks but nothing that would keep it from working and ... moreyou really have to look to see them. Vintage Floating Fish Knife. Blade says"Stainless Steel& Japan" on one side& Floating Fish Knife" on the other. No indication of manufacture or date. Blade measures about 4 1/2" from the handle and 10" overall when sheathed. Clear varnish has worn off in spots and handle has a small 3" crack from age. Vintage ZODIAC Astrology Brutal Metal Floating Table Mid Century Modern Jere Era
Offered is a vintage mid century modern brutal mixed metal table. This is an early piece of metal art. This is ultra rare and extremely unique. The table has a metal base which a large round brass and copper pan rests upon. Each individual copper piece hand applied and welded with large relief astrology animals and people symbols surrounding the large star brass inner pan. There are rods welded that support the glass top. This is one of the finest pieces of art. The table will mesh in any decor. It does show wear commensurate with age on the base bottom and you may wish to clean it up to remove any oxidation or repaint to your liking. The glass top has a tiny chip on rim edge along with surface abrasions due to age and use. You can probably have it polished. But I would simply replace it. Cast iron frame FLOATING mirror beveled edge vtg wall decor antique black metal
This piece has a cast iron or wrought iron frame that would hang on the wall and the beveled edge mirror fits within the frame. The mirror would rather“float” between the iron frame. It has two decorative hinge type connectors that would secure the mirror. I am not a very“handy” type person and I cannot get the mirror inside this frame. It seems too wide. But I know that is just because I do not know how to secure it. This mirror definitely goes with this frame, so it has to fit. I know a“handy” type person could get it secured. If you are"unhandy. like me, you get 2 cool separate pieces! The frame is a cast iron or wrought iron black metal piece in very good condition– no rust– very good condition. The metal has a twisted ribbon like look. I have yet to find any maker’s mark on this piece. But it could be that I do not know where to ... morelook. Due to the design– a maker’s mark could be hidden. The mirror has a thick rough or scalloped type beveled edge. I was going to say no chips. But on closer I think there may possibly be a chip in one of the scallops. Rather hard to tell due to the decorative cut at the edges of the mirror. Also. As you can see, the silver or mercury backing has worn off in several places. It is an old piece. Exact age unknown– I do not know if this is an older vintage piece. As more of a 1950's Mid Century Modern, or if it is old antique– I assume collectors can tell by the mirror cut and the frame style- Size: The metal frame measures approx 12 3/4ths inches in length. The center cut-out measures approx 6 1/4 by 4 1/8th inches. The mirror measures approx 5 3/4ths by 3 5/8ths inches. It is approx 1/4 inch thick at the edges. Condition: The cast iron frame still looks very good. As you can see. The back of the mirror shows much wear. As stated above, the mirror has a thick rough beveled edge and it is difficult to tell, but there may be a chip on one of the scalloped edges. Here's a little collection of fishing items up for your consideration. They are all in used condition. And are as I got them out of our tackle box.
