Vintage SILVERTONE Floating Guitar Pickup Rig
Thgis item has been relisted in order to include international shipping. This is a Silvertone floating pickup rig. Probably from the 1950's. The only other example of this I have seen is in a photo on the cover of a Mississippi Fred McDowell LP"Long Way From Home" It came into my possession when I bought a Harmony Montclair from a guy in Leininkugel, Wisconsin, home of the Jacob Leininkugel Brewing Company. Nothing beats a frosty Leininkugel on a hot summer's day, let me tell you. Anyhow. This came with a nice old acoustic archtop guitar, and I did use it occasionally. There are two pickups mounted on this thing, each with it's own volume and tone control knob. Everything is in excellent working order, although one of the spring- tension pieces that fastens it to the end of the fretboard has gone missing.

Inuit - Eskimo Floating Seal Stone Carving Vintage
My mom had an antique store from the 1960's through 1995. This is a relaxed seal floating on his back. I can just imagine the artist seeing this creature in the sea and beautifully depicting it just from the waterline! The carving is in stone. I strongly believe it is soapstone. But I as I have no expertise with this type of artifact, you'll have to judge for yourself. It's heavy. Use the photos! There appears to be the smallest of chips on the inside of the right flipper. We try to remove all the splinters and loose wood before sanding. Sometimes we cut through nails and leave them. There are cracks, knots, worm holes, highs and lows in the wood. These pieces are for the most part the way we found them when we took the barn down. They are a piece of history preserved. Upholstered in a light blue grey flannel fabric that is a bit faded( you can see it when the cushion is removed) Has one small tear on upper edge of right side cushion. Chrome has no scratches or dents but has some light oxidation along the bottom that scrapes off with my fingernail. I am not sure how to polish it so I left it alone. This chair is very structurally sound- has no issues- no sagging- good spring! Can be used as is or just reupholstered! Here is a small desk clock that was available to Snap-On dealers. It is a model SSX2418 and has a clear liquid filled reflecting display. The clock face is in the bottom of the base and by looking at the right angle in the plastic top you can see the display appear in front of your eyes. To add to the fun. There is a a tiny floating Snap-On tool truck, socket and screwdriver in the liquid as well! The clock measures 3.25" x 4.25" on the base and is 4.25" tall. There are no cracks. Chips or hairlines in it. It uses one"AA" battery, included, and runs and keeps good time. This would make a fine addition to your Snap-On advertising collectibles.
