Finger cloth napkin rings are about half the size of regular napkin rings and were popular at formal dinners in Holland. This set was made in Germany and was likely exported. Lutz& Weiss was founded in 1882 and the set is fully hallmarked. Important: These finger napkin rings are 1" in diameter and 1/2" tall. Total weight for each pair is 8.73 g. Pair Antique Solid SILVER ~ Indian Kutch NAPKIN Rings Pierced and engraved
Pair of Indian Kutch solid silver napkin rings of 850 standard silver. Stamped 85 for 85 parts per hundred, and signed. They have pierced and engraved scrolling foliate decoration. The only obvious difference between them is in the shape of the cartouche. One being circular, the other of shield shape. One weighs 22 grams, the other 21.3 grams. They are 2.9 cms high. 4.4cms in diameter and belly out to 5.3 cms. They date from approx 1900. Nice to get a pair.
