This is the classic design line dryer. The base measures 12 1/2" by 6 1/2" Height 6" The drying wheel has a handle to allow rotaion. There are eight dowels on the perimeter of the wheel. They have been varnished, the rest is natural. There is a missing anchor dowel on the side away from the handle, doesn't affect performance. This is unmarked as to maker, may be a kit.

I know this because besides coming with a box in very good condition, it also has the instructions/promotional piece as well. This complicated piece is in excellent shape. With all parts in beautiful vintage condition. I won't kid you, it's pretty ungainly to open up- same with folding it up, but every piece from the grip that holds the end of the line to the crank that spins the reel. everything looks good, feels good and works well. Designed with interesting spring clamps on the base that can attach the O-2 to camping table. Although there is significant staining, some tape residue and the edges show noticeable evidence of scuffing and wearing through the decorative outer wrap. the reel is made of several kinds of metal including an anodized aluminum crank. Spring steel and cast-metal hubs. the stays and rungs appear to be plated with some splotching, but the finish is sound and there is no rust. There are scratches consistent with normal use, but it is robustly functional in every way. The instructions and promotional piece is an 8-1/2 by 11" piece printed on both sides. One color. Do read the instructions because is gives the clued to handling this thing safely, but bear in mind that the paper is old and brittle, although I would judge it to still be handleable with significant care. Item Description- Offering up for auction today we have a ANTIQUE"ACW" American Eagle FISHING TROLLEY. Measures 3.25" x 3.25" made of a lead with three brass wheels. Eagle bears a shield to his breast with"ACW" inscribed. Reverse shield is marked with a roman numeral VII. It weighs just over 9 oz. Unusual size; most trolleys had two wheels and weighed 3-4 ounces. Trolley fishing involved attaching a sturdy 6-ft. pole to a dock or pier with an attached anchor line(thrown out with a spider anchor to the end) and a trolley line which held several tied-on baited hooks.
