Gretsch Pro Bass Valco Tube Amp amplifier combo 15 inch speaker Model 6170 similar to Thunderbolt Here's a sweet little combo actually made by Valco probably sometime around 67-69. It has 1 15" speaker. 2 possibly original RCA 6L6 output tubes, 15 inch speaker and is in great shape for it's age. The only issue is sometimes the V1 tube is intermittent and needs to be jiggled in the socket a little. The circuit is very similar to a Valco Thunderbolt or Harmony 420. It's voiced for rich warm bass, but a couple small adjustments would make it a killer guitar amp similar to old Supros selling for thousands of dollars. But I'll leave that up to the next owner. The Serial Number decoded told me this was made between 1984 and 1987.Unfortunately there was no more clues in the neck cavity or neck heel. I posted a pic to show the numbers stamped on it. Not sure if those help or not.the same numbers are also stamped in the heel cavity so I know the neck and body were made together. This bass was purchased from a Pro Player here in Des Moines. Fortunately for us. He has too many so he moved this one on to me. It only has superficial dings and scratches so it looks as good as it sounds and plays. There are two dings that came thru the finish.they are shown in pics 9 and 10.from there it has the normal back scratches from shirt buttons and such. This is a 1975 Fender Precision Bass. Ser. 638957, with Tobacco Sunburst finish, a bird's eye maple neck and rosewood fretboard, in its tweed case. This bass is in the estate of a late Bay area recording artist, who independently produced his own work and the work of many other artists in his music community. It was one of the two bass guitars used in studio and stage recordings, for many years of producing. All of his musical equipment was in excellent and very serviceable condition, most of which was purchased by his friends shortly after his passing. This bass was retained by the estate with a select few"special" guitars for posterity and appreciation, but there is no bass player to show it a good time and it deserves one. It is in sweet original condition with all the signs of proper use and play, no buckle rash, honest ... morefinger wear on the neck, only a couple of fingernail sizes spots showing wood through the finish. This auction contains 4 Bass Pro Shops Mega Cast 6'6" baitcasting rods which were floor models or returns at Bass Pro Shops. They are all Model MCX661MHT 10-20 lb. line 3/8-1 oz. lure. Rod#1 still has the plastic on the fore grip and no issues other than a few scratches from handling. Rod#2 is missing the butt cap and a little cork above it. You could epoxy a new butt cap on and fill in the cork and it would work fine. Rod#3 has no issues other than a few scratches from handling. Rod#4 still has the plastic on the fore and rear grips. However. The guides are all wrapped out of alignment. They are all 90 degrees off from where they should be. Please note that these rods are sold AS IS. Up for grabs here is a superb Japanese made Aria Pro II TSB-400 Thor Sound long scale(34" bass in very good shape. These are the open pole version of the same pickup that Cliff Burton used to get his distinct and now famous sound in early Metallica. This bass has two of these sweet sounding humbucking pickups. And they are controlled with a top mounted switch. These are passive and there is no preamp. no battery. Cosmetically there are some minor things to note such as several small dings on body and a little pick wear on the front. But aside form these things the bass is otherwise very good. The body is your usual Matsumoku laminated affair which is why this bass is so resonant. Bass Pro Shop Extreme XPS graphite rod in excellent condition. Rod is model number XTR76MHT-T. Is telescopic and opens to 7 ft, 6 inches in length. It is a medium heavy action with a fast tip. The reel seat, guides and tip are all in excellent condition. The cork handle is a little dirty, but it can be cleaned and is in good shape-the part above the reel seat still is in the plastic. I purchased this rod new from BPS and it has never been repaired. These rods are listed in BPS for 99.99 and have great reviews.
