Green suspenders are attached with snaps and buttons, with leather retaining straps. They have a waist tie string and dry pocket, front chest center. I see no size on them. The waders measure 5 feet long, from foot to top of chest. A 50 inch chest/waist with drawstring. Foot measures about 13 inches long. Hodgman Vintage Style 147 fly fishing Waders pre-1956 Decorate your den or fishing lodge with this mid-20th Century top and leggings wader set. These waders belonged to my Dad. Who loved to fish and was in the wholesale sporting goods business in the 1950s-60s. The item appears just slightly used, with the fabric showing stains but practically no signs of wear. The fabric has a brittle feel(possibly from aging of the waterproofing compound) but is not cracking. The shirt in particular is stiff feeling, as though it had been heavily starched. The adhesive holding the seams together is very weak. As the photos show. The seams have begun to separate. I believe that with repair of the seams, this item would make a great vintage decoration for the fisherman's den or lodge. The labels showing the name Hodgman alone date these waders from before ... more1956. In 1956. Each boot weighs on my postal scale a mere 1.7 pounds- compare that to your Korkers and Simms, or your old leather Hodgman's! Seriously, 1.7 lbs per boot for a size 13- really? Yes, really. And, step out of the water and they drain. QUICK! And so. Often, when buying wading boots you want to size up one to accomodate neoprene booties. That is precisely what I would recommend with these. While these boots are a size 13, I would recommend ... morethem for a guy with a street shoe size of 12 or 12.5 for layering flexibility. That said, if you wear a street shoe 13 you should be good with these, as well, if only using during the summer, if your waders or hippers have no excess neoprene bootie or you never intend to layer socks underneath. These boots are true to width and fit my more-than-average wide-fitting feet fine; however, I am a not a super-wide. just a hair wider than average, perhaps, in the fore-foot, below the toes. Another piece of helpful/important advice. My feet are precisely 11 1/8" from heel to top of big toe measuring from the bottom of the foot. My neoprene booties are just under 12" from heel to toe measuring on the bottoms. Size 13 is the size Riverwalker I wear(I wear a size 12 running shoe) This size(13) gives me some wiggle room for layering during the winter months.
