Like new. Barely used Orvis Heavy Down Coat/Jacket. Fill is 80% down 20% feathers. Jacket has two breast pockets and two hand warmer pockets. On the inside is one zippered chest pocket and one side flap pocket alog with what I would call a very large game bag in the inside rear. Outer shell is 65% wool and 35% viscose. Vintage Fly Reel Super Nice Condition Old & Smooth Orvis ? leonard ?
I don't have a clue what this is but i have had it over 30 years. It is about 2 1/2" high and the foot is 2 3/4" long. It has a strong clicker and it came in an old wooden box with a billinghurst reel and a kentucky reel and some others that were early but no names. I never showed it so i don't have a clue what it is. It appears to be one of the top makers like vomhofe but there are no markings at all. It is a super nice reel. The screws all look hand made. Orvis 1970 WES JORDAN Model Bamboo Impregnated Fly Rod 7 1/2' 5/6 Weight
MADE BY Wes Jordan 7 1/2' models were only sold 3 years: 1969.70,71(retired) According to the catalogs of the period Wes Jordan"worked and inspected" this model. He in fact earned a commission on every Wes Jordan rod sold and his pride and expertise ensured that he spent his time on these(more than average rod) This rod is from 1970. Overall VG shape with only notable flaw being a tiny hook dig on one tip. It literally looks to be mostly the bakelite that is affected. The close up photo shows entire image enlarged. Many people probably would not even notice this flaw unless it was pointed out. Hook dig located between 3rd and 4th guide from ferrule(see last photo) I've relisted this rod with much lower cost(it was purchased BIN for $950, and after I noticed the flaw I let buyer know before I shipped, and we agreed to cancel ... moretransaction. All 3 sections full length and with matching serial numbers. All original condition with no restoration. Only light signs of use(including hook dig as described above) Name Dr. John L Chandler on shaft and butt cap. Cork for right handed caster. Orvis Impregnated Deluxe 7' 2 pc. 2 tips Bamboo fly rod
Early 1960's rod. The"Deluxe" model. Impregnated 7' HDH line specified, casts a DT4 or WF5 with accuracy and authority. Two matching tips, ferrules still nice and tight, produce that lovely"pop" when disassembled. Was recently re-handled by famous rod builder Marc Aroner, as the original cork and rings were deteriorating. Cap and ring are custom turned and blued nickel silver. Only other change he made was to use a slightly larger stripper guide more suitable to modern lines. Ferrules and tips are completely original and straight, bag and case are original. This rod is a delight to cast and fights fish with authority.

Vintage ORVIS Gokey Leather & Canvas Bag – Exc. Cond.
Offered is a vintage ORVIS(made by Gokey) leather and canvas bag. This one shows very little wear on the canvas and leather as can be seen in the images. It is in excellent pre-owned condition with no stains or odor. It can be used as a small travel. Camera, or sportsman’s bag. Made in USA. The bag measures approx. 16 in. X 5 ½ in. X 5 ½ in. It has an adjustable cloth shoulder strap. There are compartments on each end of the bag that latch with a leather strap and brass buckle. The main compartment is divided in to 2 small pockets and 1 large pocket. The fabric inside is kelly green in color and is moisture resistant. There are 2 flaps on top of the main compartment that snap together. The main cover secures with 2 brass buckles and leather straps and has a large piece of leather on top for protection.

Orvis 9 1/2' Graphite fly rod. For 8wt line, designed for salmon and flats fishing, rod weight is 4 1/8oz. It was the non sanded coiled rib style lay up. Looks and feels like a powerful rod. Rod shows very little use. From the looks of the aluminum tube and the rod sock maybe a dozen or fewer trips on the water. I can find no flaws in the tube. Sock, or rod and the cork looks perfect. This auction is for my Sage Graphite II 9'0" rod(Model GFL 890-4 DS) with a Orvis Battenkill 8/9 reel. Everything works perfectly. The rod has been used twice and it is showroom new. All the tips and guides are intact. The cork handle is 100% original and complete. The rod segments fit tightly together and the canvas bag is like new. The reel has also been used twice. ORVIS Leather & Canvas Fishing Tackle/Camera Bag
This is a classic Orvis leather and canvas fishing tackle/ camera bag. I have used the bag for toting my cameras for thirty five years and it has served me well. It does show some stains. Mostly on the top flap and there is some stitching missing, mostly on the top leather flap but considering its age. The bag is in very good serviceable condition and has a lot of life left in it. I have done my best to indicate its wear with my photos. The camera flash actually appears to over accentuate the wear. It roughly measures 19” long. 5 1/4” deep and around 10” high. Filled, these dimensions probably expand. I have seen these bags listed with slightly larger dimensions but these are what I got. Most suitable for 2 to 5 weight lines/rods. Reel can be fished with right or left hand retrieve by simply inverting the single click pawl. Minimal spool overrun and"drag" regulation may be applied via a plastic knob on the reverse which causes a circular hard neoprene encased steel spring to exert varying pressure on a single click pawl. Wonderful clicker sound. Reel is in excellent mechanical condition but can only be rated fair to good cosmetically due to surface rash here and there caused by the reel having been stored while it was still wet. Something to keep in mind when putting away fishing equipment even overnight but especially for the season! No case. This is an absolutely beautiful vintage Orvis Battenkill bamboo fly rod serial# 8700. The rod is an 8 1/2 feet two piece with an extra tip. It is 5 1/2 oz and uses a# 8 line. The rod is in perfect condition. I have fished this rod several times and it will really get the line out. Comes with original bag and tube. I do not need this big of a rod now as I am fishing the smaller streams of Colorado and Iowa. This rod is meant for a big river and thus a big fish. This is one of those rods that excites you just pulling it out of the tube and bag and smelling the cane. This is the Orvis Fly Pattern Index Complete and Unabridged by John R. Harder. It is spiral bound and looks like it has never been opened. It has very little shelfwear. It still has the original slip in it from the book store where it was purchased. It is loosely placed inside the front cover. This is a great book for the avid fly fisher or fly tyer. We acquired an estate with over 10.000 electronics related items. We will be listing a lot of them on here in the next couple months. I am selling this rod for a Ghillie friend of mine who was given this by a American client. He believes it to be an Orvis rod and my research seems to back this up but I am not 100% sure The rod has written on it England"C F 125 Series"7 1/2-2.3-4# A.R.
