Up for sale is my Orvis Battenkill fly reel. It's the first"good" reel I bought when I got into fly fishing back in the late 1980s. And its served me well. Made in England, the reel is designed for 5/6 lines, and has a very good, easily adjusted disc drag. It has some scratches and dings(see photos) but the reel is in excellent mechanical shape. The reel comes with all you see in the picture as well as on the reel itself 20 lb. white Dacron backing and a Rio Grand WF5F fly line, camo/tan in color. This really is a nice reel with a smooth disc drag. Just slight wear on the frame and spool. Set up for left hand retrieve but can be changed to right hand. Probably fits best on a 4 or 5 wt. rod. I'd estimate. I purchased new and used it perhaps 2 times as don't get a lot of chances to use 8 Wts in the Southeast. Orvis Battenkill Large Arbor Spool with Case, Super Nice Condition
This is a like new spare spool. I think it is for a Battenkill large arbor reel. Look at the pictures. To be sure. The overall diameter is 3 7/8" The finish is gold and it comes with line(I can't tell you much about that so I tried to get it in the photo's) and a very nice Orvis zipper case.
