RARE 1971 Vietnam War Navy Life Vest 1969 USAF Aircrew / Pilot Parachute Harness
For sale is a Vietnam war navy life vest dated January 1971. And a Vietnam war USAF parachute harness dated September 1969. The life vest seems to be complete with all of the straps, but is missing the flash light. The other piece is a rare Vietnam War Parachute harness. This piece has half of the center buckle cut off, one of the two buckles for the straps around the legs is cut off, and the straps around the legs are missing. The parachute harness DOES NOT have the parachute that goes on the back. The harness has the numbers 68-9725 on the back, and it has an empty pouch that says Minimum Survival Kit. Despite the problems this piece has, it is still a very desirable piece and the parts could be replaced. These items would be perfect for anyones collection. Vintage 1960's Hippy's Beaded Vest with Bird Bones Ethnic Unisex L
Up for Auction Interesting. Ethnic, Vintage Vest from the 1960's This vest was given to me by friends who appreciated my interest in ethnic fabrics and art. It was purchased in San Francisco in the middle of the"hippie" Woodstock" Haight Ashbury, era. It belonged and was worn by their friend who lived in the heart of San Francisco. I think it could just as easily be enjoyed by a man or woman although I think it was intended to be worn by a man. It is my understanding that the"beads" are actually tiny bird bones. I have no idea where this vest was made or by what culture. It was imported by a company in San Francisco shown on the label. It is in remarkable condition for it's age with just 3 of the tiny bones that have come lose. I have pictured what they look like and know they would be easy to repair. The ... morerest of the vest is in good condition without stains or any wholes. There is some fading of the threads which I have tried to picture. The vest is fully lined with a silky material which I do not know the contents of. The label says Taylor& NG. San Francisco and indicates it is a size large.
