This very cool pair of bifocals are in great shape and were made by the Alumnico company. The case that they come in is labeled: UNITED Manufacturing Opticians Pan American Expo. Machinery Building I suspect that these glasses and case were part of the 1901 Pan-Am Expo/World's Fair held in Buffalo. New York. Lenses need to be thoroughly cleaned, but appear to be mainly scratch free. A nice pair of throwback glasses for the collector.

You are bidding on a set of Victorian Antique Silver Filled Oxford Pince Nez bifocal eyeglasses. They have a folding spring mechanism which works great. They measure 3 3/4 inches when open but have a spring to open up further to adjust to your nose. The glass(lens) itself measure 1 5/8 inches. Has the original nose pads and they are not brittle at all. All complete. Lenses are in great condition. With perhaps a tiny scratch here and there, but hold up very, very well. I do not wear glasses. So I did not want to clean them improperly, so blemishes might even come off when cleaned. Comes with original fob as pictured. Mid 19th century Bifocals! No mark - sp? Eye Glasses Spectacles with Metal Case
You are bidding on an item that I am selling for an elderly lady from church that is trying to clean out her house a bit(she doesn't think her family will appreciate some of her superfluous belongings so she wants to find someone who will love them) these. She remembers, belonged to her great grandparents at one time(one of three pairs that I am selling) She lives in Massachusetts on Cape Cod in a house that was built in the mid 18th century just in cast that is important. These glasses, like the others, have no maker's mark so these were probably more likely to be a mass produced and more available pair of eye glasses for the general populace. These are mid 18th century but do not carry a maker's mark so it is hard to tell origin. Metal, date, etc. Now- I emailed someone who specializes in antique eye wear and historical reproductions ... morefor movies. Etc about these spectacles and I will post the email below: Only two of these pics came through. However. Judging from these attached to this email appear to be silver plated or German silver plated, as opposed to solid silver, dating more than likely from around the same time as the first pair you showed me- 1840. However, bifocals are more sought after by collectors, especially given the fact that the case accompanies this pair and in good shape too. Again I would value this pair, with case at $100 or higher. Third email to follow. Ok- I tried to show the lenses in the photos- these are in very good condition. Looks like the case did its job- given what the expert emailed me, then I will start the bidding off at around $75- have fun bidding!

For sale is a pair of antique eyeglasses/ bi-focals with a 10K Gold Bridge. Bridge is white gold and is marked"10K Bridge) no other markings anywhere on the frame. Frame has green tarnish/oxidation in spots. Lens have some scratches but no chips or cracks. The right lens is somewhat loose(you can pivot the lens up and down a little bit around the screw where it connects to the bridge. Up for bid is a vintage pair of eyeglasses. They are bifocals see pic 6. The entire frame is made of brass. Which appears to be chrome plated on the top edge of frame. The pieces that wrap around the ear and very springlike and bendable. The nose pads appear either bakelite or Mother of Pearl, not tested.
