Vintage J.C. Higgins Galvanized Tackle Box 1940's
This is one sturdy tackle box! From 1940 To 1961 Sears put J.C. Higgins labels on a lot of their products. This is a very early one. It is galvanized and heavy. Weighing almost 6 1/2 lbs. I have no key but the latch closes and opens properly. I did not clean it at all but one could probably shine it up. It has a little rust but since it is galvanized it is not weakened in the least. Just a very nice old box! It measures about 14" X 7 1/2" X 7" As the 1940 Sears catalog says it has"rounded corners so it won't tear your clothes" Thank you for looking.
