Picture#5 shows a close-up of the label that says"Simonsen Metal Products Co. Trademark N1K1, tackle-tool, band-film, Boxes of quality" with a picture of(I presume) an Irish Setter in the center. Both sections of the lid open out smoothly and pull with it two trays. One of the trays has a smaller"toolbox within a toolbox" sort of set up with its own lid and latch. The lock closes very nicely. It sometimes sticks a little. But then I have lady hands. You are probably tougher than I am. There is a twelve inch measure along the front top of the box so you are sure you are over that seven inch limit. Or whatever it is. The hinges are good and move smoothly. Corners are good. Not all bent up. It looks like this might at one time have had a tray. As there are two places on the inside of the lid where a tray might have hung. On a n indention above the lock there are numbers. They are 8033. I didn't see these when I was taking the photos. This was an estate sale find. So I don't know how old ... morethis item is. Box has been in storage and needs a good cleaning(there is a circular mark on the lid that may be able to be removed; I haven't tried- I don't know what could buff it out) and the lid has several scratches.
