Location: Western end of Lake Nipissing, hunting the Sudbury and North Bay Districts, which are two of Ontario’s prime Black Bear hunting areas. Our hunting area is more than 540 Square ... moreKilometers (more than 220 Square Miles!).
Season:
Mid of August until end of October 2014. Spring Bear Hunt to be introduced back, soon.
Length of hunts:
7 days hunt, usually arrival Saturday afternoon, departure the following Saturday morning. Sunday hunting is permitted.
Hunts:
Hunting over baited locations which are reached with your own vehicle. These locations are from one to forty miles from the Lodge via forest access roads.
Guiding:
We work together with a very experienced guide, a skilled black bear hunter himself. He has been born and raised in the area and is familiar with every inch of our Bear Management Area!
ATV’s:
Due to the road conditions at certain areas, ATV’s would ease their accessibility. Please advise, if you would like to rent one of ours or if you intend to bring your own.
Fishing:
As prime hunting times for Black Bear are early morning and late aftrernoon through early evening one of our 16' Lowe boats with 15hp yamaha motor is included in the package. One boat per cottage!

7-day packages run from Saturday to Saturday, but we may be able to accommodate other requests. 3-night and 4-night packages can have the arrival day of your choice.
Waterfalls Lodge accepts responsibility for having all equipment in good running order when taken by guests. Guests, in turn, are responsible for the boats and equipment they are using and must exercise due operating care.
Rate Details:
Those wishing to bring their own boats and motors, or parties that don't require their full allocation of boats and motors can deduct $100.00 per person. Docking will be provided at no charge, but gas will be extra.
There is an additional fee of $10/day or $50/week per pet.
Add 50% to all rates if only one person occupies a unit.
Rates DO NOT INCLUDE applicable taxes, gratuities or fishing license.
Package plans are based on 2 or 3 adults sharing a boat, example (5 adults = 2 boats, 6 adults = 3 boats).
If you are staying in a Deluxe Cottage (Cabins #17, #18, #19) and have only two guests, the cabin will cost an additional $300.00.
Reservation Info:
A reservation deposit of $150.00 per person is required on 7-night trips, or $100.00 per person on 3-night or 4-night trips. If you must cancel your reservation and notify us at least 90 days prior to your arrival we will apply your full deposit on any date open later in the year, or the following year. If you prefer an immediate refund a 25% administration fee will be deducted. If you must cancel within 90 days of your reservation there will be no refund of your deposit.
Reservations are confirmed and guaranteed only when a deposit has been received. Deposits should be paid within 14 days of booking and may be paid with a personal cheque, money order, bank draft, Visa or MasterCard.

If you want to experience the thrill of big game hunting in the Canadian woods where you’ll never see another person — Uchi Lake is for you. Most of our moose are larger than average ... morebecause the remote Uchi Lake area receives no pressure from other hunters. Many of the moose that roam here have never set eyes on a human being before. And because our guides live on the lake for the better part of the summer,they know right where the big animals are.
During our 2007 hunt we saw 22 moose in the first three days of the hunt. Our 2007 success rate was 100%.
We offer an exclusive hunt with only four to six hunters in total. These hunters will enjoy the opportunity to take 2 bulls, one cow and/or three calves. You will be the only hunters in the entire area.
