Hi! For sale we offer this primitive. Antique bamboo fishing rod. This is a 6 foot model that is made of two pieces connected by a metal sleeve. 6 sided bamboo construction. Metal reel attachment. Bottom handle is turned wood with wood end finial(similar to the way Horrocks rods were made) This rod has one odd quality. The eyes are on the top and bottom of it. Please see photos. I have been fishing most of my life and have never had a rod like this one. Maybe I have lived a sheltered life. The letter N is carved just above the finial end. This is most likely a hand made labor of love. Not a mass produced item. 6ft. 2 pc. Please understand. This is a v ery old rod. It has been enjoyed and enjoyed. Great Sage Z-Axis 490(9 foot fly rod for 4 wt. line) 2 piece that has the very tip broken off. The rod was given to me a few years ago. I believe it was a demo rod from a shop in Montana, therefore it has no warranty. i think Sage will repair these rods without warranty for $100 or so. A guy(or gal) could epoxy on a new tip-top guide and the rod would probably cast just fine. I haven't got much use for the rod these days and could use a few bucks to help fund the next fishing trip. The tiny Trout Fly Rod lure is a Plastic lure. The old Heddon is a tuff find in this good condition. The tiny crankait is only about 1 3/4" long. The old crankbaits lure has the Cream and Black eyes. The old Heddon Sonic is a unknown color code to me but sure the old heddon collector will know the code. The heddon crankbait is a Green Back, Pinkish under the Cream and Black eyes with a under chin line tie. The end cap has a small rust hole in it but still sturdy. The twist on end cap has a ring on the top and works fine. It is not glamorous but it is period and in working condition to protect that vintage rod!
