vtg. BPOE Elks cement cast stone repurposed chalkware wall plaque mold unique
Up for auction is a vintage cast cement stone mold used to make chalkware wall plaques in the 50's and 60's. It has a beautiful emblem or crest of the Benevolent and Protective Ord3r of Elks. The Elks was an American fraternal order and social club founded in 1868. Before that it was called the Jolly Corks! Now there are over a million members of both male and female; prior to the mid-1990's it was all male. Originally this mold was used to make chalkware wall plaques. The artist would make a chalk-based'cement' mixture and pour it into the mold after coating the mold with oil. A metal loop hanger would be placed in before total hardening to use for hanging. The plaque would be removed when dry and painted by the artist. This mold measures 13 x 11 x 3 and weighs over 30 pounds. It is in good condition and has a great old ... morepatina. As in vintage cement molds there are some chips from the edges; however it does more to add to the rustic appeal than detract. It's a great rare find for the collector. Due to the fragility and weight of this item. And the increase in postal rates(sigh) my shipping and handling on this item is unfortunately high. This was in my Father's collection of many. Many things all stored in the attic and barn. It's time to clean out and get ready to move to a smaller place. Payment is expected within 3 days of auction closing. Laminated Tabletops, T-Mold Edging. Black and White. Very Sturdy, good condition
Theses tabletops were used in the airports between the seatings. There are in good condition. We have 10 black and 10 white. T-molded edges. Laminated tops and they weigh 14 lbs a piece. Measure at 19 1/2 inches x 19 1/2 inches and approximately 1 1/2 thick. Tops don't have any holes at all, opposite side has 4 holes drilled for mounting. See last picture for details. The company I work for once made the seating for airports which is why we have the tabletops.

Up for auction Original Wedgewood Stoneware Aspic Mold Measuring 9" by 5 1/2" by 4 1/2" high. This wonderful piece has beautiful form and design. It would be exquisite for display and would make a stunning statement on your table. There is a 4our leaf-design measuring 1/2" by 1/2" in the very center of the flowing design. Marked on the outside is: 28 Wedgewood APP 9 There is one hairline which wraps around one end of the piece and does not go all the way through to the inside and two"old" chips. One on the upper lip and one on the bottom of the piece. Both are almost on top of each other and therefore this item could be displayed and they would not be noticeable. You are bidding on what I believe to be a Terracotta Mask Mold from the early to mid 20th century. The mask is hand carved and shows a lot of wear on the back where it would have been handled. It is made of a red clay and has been sculpted to show enhanced features. The back is flat and indented with a hand grip. Feel free to correct me as to what this really is. Rosenthal Donatello mold 8.5" chocolate pot with heavy gold gilt and beading EXC
I have for you this evening a lovely chocolate pot by the Rosenthal porcelain factories in Selb Bavaria in 1922. This lovely pot is made of a nice quality whiteware porcelain and is in the Donatello mold pattern. The pot is heavily gilded in high quality gold gilt that has not tarnished over time and has acquired a rich deep patina that is very pleasing to look at and gives the piece an"old world" antique charm that is so desirable on these more modern vintage pieces. The piece has gold beading along the upper rim as well. This piece would make a nice addition to any cabinet setting or could even be used at your next tea or winter celebration. Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate. This piece measures 8.5" tall with cover in place and spans close to 7" across from spout tip to handle end. This piece ... moredates from 1922 by the mark. Condition report: This piece is in vintage excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing. There is a sliver off the inside rim of the cover but that may have happened during the firing and does not affect the show value at all as it can only be seen when you look inside the cover when off the pot. This is an elegant yet utilitarian piece of fine Bavarian porcelain. I do not charge any handling fees and I will combine shipping whenever possible.
