This sale is for an older Brady of England Halesowen Gelderburn Fishing Bag. They've been making this bag since 1951. And this is one of the older ones. I believe its from the 60s. A large all-purpose fishing bag made from triple layered waterproof canvas with bridle-leather trim and brass fittings. The bag comprises a large centre compartment with zip top and two pleated front pockets with zip closure. A flat pocket runs across the full width of the outside back panel and fastens with a press stud. The leather edged flap fastens with leather straps and brass studs and will fold easily into the back pocket while fishing. The bag is carried on a wide adjustable webbing shoulder strap which is secured to the bag with wide leather reinforcements. On the reverse there is also a detachable webbing waist strap and a net ring is fixed to the ... moreside of the bag. Bag is in great shape on the outside. There is some wear on the outer canvas shell. The leather is in great shape, and the interior compartment has some discoloration that cleaning may or may not remove. One tip section is 42" long, the other is 39 1/2" The lower handle section is 46 1/2" long, it has a number or a name hand written but it has wear so I do not know what it says. when the longer tip is installed it is approx. 88" long. Reel seat and ferrules all look to be made of German Silver. Ferrules are all made to have ferrule plugs. The ferrule plug on the second piece is missing. The cork handle is in awesome condition with no stains. Nicks or gouges. The reel seat continues to have a great shine and patina with one little dent in it. The varnish on the rod is nearly unblemished but, to be fair, there are a couple of spots where there is a small varnish flake. The intermediates are still tight and in better than excellent shape. Rod comes with two tips and all 7 pieces are the same length. Considering this rod is over 100 years old it is in better than EXCELLENT CONDITION. This is an all original Montague Split Bamboo Fly Rod. It is a"Trail" Style. It comes in 3 sections. And includes an extra tip section. Its overall length is 10 feet 6 inches when assembled. To my knowledge is has never been used. This is an extremely rare rod due to the condition and the size. I am unsure the exact weight of the rod, but any fly fisher would love to own this beautiful rod. It is in unbelievable shape, except for the cork has shown its age. I have up for auction a Vintage metal Fly Fishing rod. It is three(3) pieces and 9' long.It comes in a velvet bag for travel and when not assembled. That then fits in a metal cylinder for storage. The metal cylinder is missing the cap. But has the bottom. I have taken photos from left to right to try to help with the description. The color of the rod is drab or dark olive or camo green. The fishing rod looks in almost mint condition. All the ferrules and guides are in like new condition. The cork handle looks new with hardly any signs of use or age. The green velvet bag shows some use and fade. The end sticking out of the metal tube without the cap is where the fading and age appears. The nameplate or gold leaf decal says True Temper Professional and shows no chipping or wear. It appears basically mint. Except for the details with the ... morebag and storage tube. But to me this vintage 2 piece Phillipson Ebonite fly fishing rod/pole looks to be in great condition with very little age or use wear(I would guess the rod is ready to use, but again I'm not a fisherman, so the rod is being sold"as is" The eyelets are all intact with no rust, but there is some wear to the black finish on the wrapping on the 1st eyelet on the top section(see photo#9) The cork handle is intact with just minor wear and discoloration. Vintage HARDY Bros. Cane Fishing Rod REG 16.8.73. 9705 With Spare End/Bag. 12ft.
A superb three piece vintage Hardy Bros cane fishing rod. In its original Hardy bag and spare cane end. The rod measures approx 12ft in length when put together. Good condition overall, general signs of aging/wear, with some loss to varnish, odd strip missing around the cane. The handle/butt is mottled a shown in photo 4. The rod is difficult to put together in the middle, with the second piece not fitting without pushing up the brass part(shown in photos 8/9/10) The end of this brass part is wavy, and doesn't go flush together as you can see. These parts named stamped Hardy, so not sure why this is the case. So it does fit together, but no flush, and need adjustment. Some rusting to these clip/locks. Hardy Bros Makers Alnwick 9705 on the brass handle. A lovely old Hardy rod, sold as seen- photos are part of description. This vintage baitcasting fishing reel is in very good condition with very little wear(it can use a light cleaning) I'm not a fisherman. But as far as I can tell the reel is working as it should(the reel is being sold"as is" The reel is marked: No. 1970A PRESIDENT Shakespeare MODEL FH MADE IN U.S.A. PATENTED. The reel comes with the original box, instructions and bag. The box is intact, but it has edge, corner and surface wear. The instructions are intact with no repairs, but they have a small hole on the front and they're discolored/dirty. The bag is intact and not brittle, but some small pieces of the covering have peeled off. ANTIQUE MONTAGUE BAMBOO 5 PC FISHING ROD. Welcome! For your consideration is an antique Montague Trail bamboo 5 piece fishing rod in the original cloth bag. Handle is metal and cork and measures about 49" long. The other pieces measure about the same. Except the smallest tip, which measures about 30" We are selling this for a friend, it has been in their family for many years, I estimate it to be from around the 1930's. The rod handle is 5 sided. One length of rod is missing some of the little metal rings that the line would run through(needs new ones threaded on) the bottom of the handle has a cork rest that has some cracking from age. Classic Original Wood River Fly Fishing Bag Made in U.S.A.
Classic Wood River waist bag in excellent condition. Although used this bag looks brand new. Just look at the fleece in the pull down section which can be used as a work platform. It is really clean. So is the whole bag. No stains. Tears or damage of any kind. This bag has one main compartment that has a divider that can be used or not, just attach/un-attach the velcro flap in the middle of the pocket. It is attached in photo number 5. Behind the mesh pocket of the fold down flap are 5 small slots for organizing gear. One side pocket. On the bottom of the bag are 2 straps for holding items. For instance you can put a shirt through the straps when thing warm up and you need to take off a long sleeve shirt. Bag has a waist strap but the shoulder strap is missing. Easy enough to buy a shoulder strap that attaches to the D rinds on either side ... moreof the bag. Bag works nicely without using the shoulder strap anyway since even a full bag can be handled nicely just using the waist strap. This is the Original Wood River product made in the U.S.A. Recently I have seen some knock-offs on e bay that are made in China. This is the real deal. Measures approximately 10 x 6 x 3 inches.
