My husband purchased this in 1962 in Tokyo. It is 36 in. in circumference or about 10.82 in. in diameter. It weighs 7 lbs unboxed. Some surface scratches and dirt as it was used at one time but has been decorative for the last 50 yrs in my house. There are no cracks. Second picture shows the mark of the maker. Looks like a tree to me. Would look neat in a garden or water feature or Japanese garden. I have 4 smaller floaters on another auction currently. All are from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Early 60s Huge Inuit Art Walrus w/Seal float & Harpoon Enook Manomie Eyes
This is an Old carving. Depicting a Walrus, Harpooned and lying, Dead, on E(as in Enook) Initially I thought it was a scratch, but there's No way. Eonook was Fathered by, Manumie Shaqu, in Cape Dorset. He traveled to Iqaluit, in 1958, at 17 years old(1941-2006) I don't know how long he lived in Iqaluit, but the, lack of a# on the sticker, is indicative, of early creation. When I bought this 8 lb. Walrus, it came w/a stand, w/an E# from Belcher, so soft, you can scrape it w/ your fingernail, no pegs, no Tusks, no Harpoon& the pegs didn't match the holes. I didn't see the hole, in the top, of the Walrus, until I recieved it, Then it, all, made sense. The Harpoon held the seal float, wearing the Walrus out, until he could be captured. Intricate detail has gone into this, entire, piece. I restored the tusk, made the Harpoon(w/close ... moreattention, to harpoons, of the time)I attatched, the hide, found a base& put it together. No restoration was done, to the stone, it's in excellent condition. The bottom is, heavilly worn, as. the Belly, must have sat on the base. I lifted it, slightly, tp prevent, future scratching, of the base. Using chalk& a Jewelers Loupe, I was able to make out, what, clearly is Enooks' E# most of the syllabics. I am confident, this is his work. The eyes are identical, to those in his other works. By no means, unique, however rare& an earmark, of lots of his works. She is in excess, of 10" long, attached to base, w/pegs& weighs 8 lbs, w/out the base& in excess, of 11 lbs, including the base, which is, extremely stable, to hold an 8 lb Warlus. This is a, seriously, old piece, depicting, the Talent& Imagination, of the Artist. I prefer, Old pieces, so I try to find them, when I can. This is a NorthWest Glass Company of Seattle. Washington 6 inch tall float. The company that made Rainier Beer bottles made these floats! The pontil knob has NO chips on the edge or knob. There are very minor scratches. No chips or cracks! You just don't find these often in this great condition with the origianl netting! This would be a great addition to your float collection. This is a Roughly 6" Wide. Very Clean, 19th Century Glass Blown+Pontiled Fishing-Float, that apparently has never seen the water, for long durations, any way. There is a lot of debate, these days as to what Glass Factories, on the east coast, would have manufactured these Floats, This one couldn't look closer to a Keene Demi-John Bottle, and the Pontil is Great!Originally looked to me, that there could have been the outline of some Initials, blown in the glass, but couldn't too clearly. Acquired at a local, Cape Cod, Massachusetts =Antique Estate Flea-Market, early one recent Saturday Morning. Fox F29 32 Fit RLC fork. In great condition. 175mm of steerer tube. Steerer is 1 1/8" and straight(non-tapered) Takes a standard 9mm QR. Stanchions are in near-perfect shape- they show absolutely no wear. There is no oil leaking from this fork at all. It was owned by a very recreational user and was used minimally. Lockout works great. There is some usual dust and dirt on the fork that didn't just clean right off, but the white is very clean and the fork is functionally perfect.

I've taken a few pictures so you can see the broken dropout as well as the general condition of the fork. The fork had just been serviced right before I bought it. Vintage Gas Tank Propane Float Guage without the guage on the bottom. This is an old float we found in an old gulf distribution center. We just bought out another which makes 2 old Gulf Distrubution Centers and both have lots of merchandise from it from the 60s-80s. I'm not sure of the age of this float. As far as I can tell it works fine but it doesn't have the guage in it. I do have some in my store while supplies last that do have the guages in them. It needs some cleaning but the mechanism moves freely. This float is the real thing found on a beach in Alaska. This float was found many years ago it has no Japanese fall out. Float is light green in color. Has no seams, lots of air bubbles, a line in the glass(not a crack) a surface elongated air bubble, beach sand blasting and a smooth surface. This is a great float for any collector. Very nice float. Size: 3 1/4" Circumference. 10 1/2" Diameter Condition: Used- I see 2 small chips by the blow hole. I see a few tiny scratches on this float. Vintage Glass Fishing Float BLUE SWIRL Japanese #686
T his Authentic vintage glass fishing float was found on Hokkaido Island of northern Japan. BLUE/GREEN FLOAT WITH BLUE SWIRLS. Float measures 3.25" in diameter. No cracks or chips except those to the seal button as you would expect in a vintage float. I always photograph the floats against white in an attempt to get a clear picture and true a colour as possible. Please view the floats against a white background and determine for yourself if the colour that is represented here is true. If you are ever not happy with a float please let me know.
