Normally it is found only on the handle, this handle does not look replaced, the tag might have come off. This tackle box is in very good used condition. There are no cracks or dents. The latches& hinges work properly. There are some scratches on 1 side, we'll call that side the back, see pictures. There are some dirt spots on the top, these do not show up very good in the pictures, but they are there. The styrofoam bottom is dirty/stained, I did not try cleaning it. The bottom of the cooler has minor scratches, no dents. When closed this tackle box measures 20" tall(not including handle) 21" long(including side clasps) 12" wide. LARGE ORANGE UMCO STYLED TACKLE BOX. I have a darn nice large Umco styled tackle box up for your consideration. I wouldn't hesitate bidding on this one if I were looking for one like this it is in real nice shape. This box I believe is made by a company called Plastitech and it is exactly like the famous Umco boxes, I'm pretty sure it is not an Umco but you would be hard pressed to tell the difference. It has the usual wear of a used box with scratches and some stains on the bottom, Every thing works as it should with no cracks or dents and latches tightly. It is approximately 20 1/2' inches long 13' inches tall minus the handles and 11 1/2' inches wide, The bottom storage compartment is nearly 6' inches deep and nearly 11 1/4' inches wide. It has 7 trays six are all the same size they are 1' inch deep and ... more4 1/2' inches by 5' inches, The one tray on top is approximately 2 1/4' inches deep by the same 4 1/2' inches by 5' inches. There are 28 total compartments plus the bottom storage, It also has all it's dividers two of which I made my self to complete the box so there not the originals. This box makes a very nice tackle box and holds a lot of fishing gear, But they were also designed for paramedics to keep the supplies in on the ambulances. This is a large capacity aluminum Umco 1000 AS Tackle Box filled with mostly rubber type lures. My father was an avid fishing lure collector. He once owned a lure that was one of only 4 known to exist in the entire world. He sold it to take our family on our first and last vacation. Vintage UMCO 1000RS 7 Tray 71 Comprtmnt Green Fishing Tackle Box Needs Restore
Vintage UMCO 1000RS green tackle box. The exterior shell is in very good condition and the latches are solid. The interior has 7 trays with 70 compartments plus a full basement for reels and things. Some of the black liners compartments have suffered worm burns and are dirty in need of a good cleaning. The 48 small compartments are dirty but in good shape. The burns are in the larger compartments where plastic worms were kept. This would be a nice tackle box to restore or line the compartments with green felt to display some of your vintage wood lures. This is one of two UMCO aluminum fly boxes that I will be listing. If you would like both. I'll happily combine shipping. This is a model 10 fly box. It is two sided. With a plastic tray in the center. Both lids close snugly. There are no major dents or dings in the aluminum, but one on the plastic tray compartments has"melt" holes. The previous owner had them covered with tape, but I removed it for pictures. There are signs of use such as light scratching and soiling. I have rinsed it off, but did not polish or give it a deep cleaning. The box measures approx. 9 1/8 x 4 1/4 x 1 1/4.

There is pink stickers/labels in certain spots inside the box. It's in very good condition. I went over it with a wet rag and got most of the accumulated dust off of it. It still could use a little more elbow grease to get all the dust from the the little crevices. There is some stenciled markings on the exterior as seen in the pictures. Up for auction is this huge vintage UMCO 4500 UPB Brown Possum Belly Tackle Box. This is a rare 10 tray 96 slot tackle box with the detachable possum belly cooler underneath. Very good vintage condition for it's age. It is however missing the top lip attachment on the side for the cooler(see pic) but can carry attached as is. Also included is a picture of the other side with the lip in tact. This should be a very easy fix using a piece of aluminum. Includes a few misc. fishing items as seen in pics. Minnesota company's largest tackle box, with ten trays and 84 compartments. Measures 21 1/2" X 12 1/2" X 12 3/4" and only weighs 9 1/2 lbs. due to the light and strong thermo formed plastic construction. The previous owner taped a list of PA record fish on the inside of the lid with the latest being 1982. I thought it was cool so I left it in but you could easily remove it if desired.
