UMCO 2000 BWS Tackle Box
Hi I have a old UMCO tackle box which I found while cleaning up some of my dads old fishing stuff. The box is marked Umco 2000 BWS made in watertown Minn I have not done anything to the box it is just as I found it along with 12 other tackle boxes full of old lures. This box is empty and has not been cleaned at all just the way it was found it. I have included a lot of pictures of the box maybe some one can use it. The box is empty no lures it does have some markings on it and some scratches as can be seen in the photos all the trays are still pretty nice all the latches work. The box has been closed up for a long time I am not sure how old it is has a little musty smell to it as once again I have done nothing to it just the way I found it. So look at the pictures for a overall condition and you be the judge I would say it is still in good ... moreused condition but I dont know much about this stuff. The# 20 is the main box and when you open it up there it is the# 10 double sided tackle box nested on its cradle as it was the day it was purchased. You don't see many of these around and if you do it is not in this great of shape. Its all aluminum with no holes or dents. Nothing is bent or twisted. Everything works as it did when it rolled off the factory assembly line. The handle on the main# 20 box is plastic. All the hasps works as they should. All the hinges work as they should. There are 10 pictures Offered for sale is an old old Umco#10 tackle box with about 35-40 lures inside. The lures are old trout& bass spinners. Oddly most every lure has had 1 of the hooks on the treble hook clipped so there are just 2 hooks on most every lure. I don't know why the previous owner clipped the hooks-maybe for some special law on treble hooks in his state? Lots of photos- there are vintage Mepps. Several antique C P SWING lures from France, old panther martin, vintage roostertails, and others. The lures have light tarnish and most have been used. See Pic's The Umco box is a very old aluminum box. The plastic tackle trays are fine with no problems like worm burns or cracks. The hinges on the tackle box are a little dirty and need some oiling so the box opens better.

It has a whole bunch of pull out trays that you can see in the pictures, as well as the big foam cooler bottom! It was used and does have some scuffs, but overall it is in pretty good shape. Great UMCO vintage tackle box 2080U in good condition as seen in the photos. It has 4 trays on each side one of the aluminum brackets as a piece missing but it still works well great old tackle box for all those valuable lures. There is some glue residue on the bottom of the box from a foam that was glued in by the previous owner I am going to place a piece of cork on the bottom but not glue it in. Nice Vintage Umco Aluminum Double-Sided Fly & Fish Tackle Box Model P-9
My husband is the original owner of both the box and the lures he bought as a youngster One side has 8 compartments(no holes or damage) The other side has 4 bigger compartments( with a pea size crack at the side of the top horizontal compartment that will not affect function) He has not used it for over 35 to 40 years I do not notice any dents well made aluminum box with nice snap closures
