This fly tying kit has a bit of everything: scissors. Tweezers, holders, knives, scalpels, thread, needles, magnifiers, feathers, completed flies, a vintage lufkin caliper rule, some fur samples, booklets and more! It comes in an old dovetailed mahogany box. Everything has been cleaned and put in plastic bags. Some metal items have a bit of rust, but they can be used as is. Look closely at all the photos for more details. The knives and scalpel are sharp. Note that the pocket folding knife has hald the horn missing on the other side. For some reason I keep thinking that I will finally like tying flies. I see the amazing creations that some make. And I decide I can do it, and love it, as well. It's just not true. I am way to OCD to concentrate on it. I get through about four flies and run. I have this kit, which has been used to tie, maybe two dozen flies. It contains tons of hooks, tungsten beads, ceramic tube bobbins, scissors, lot's of materials, threads, wires, and the American made Anvil Apex vise with both pedestal and clamp base. This item is a vintage Thompson Wing Former Fly Tying Kit. Made by D. H. Thompson Elgin. Illinois. I got this in a box lot at an estate sale. I have no idea how old this is or how to use it. I thought maybe a collector may be interested in it. What is in the pictures is what is all included. The vise is made of metal. The blades are rusted and it comes in it's original box with the instructions. You can see this in the pictures as they are the best description. This is a Regal Fly Tying kit with some of the most important tools used for fly tying. The kit comes with a vise that is in excellent condition. Bobbin, hackle pliers, dubbing needle, bottle of fly head cement, wax, a few hooks, 6 spools of thread, spool of cooper wire, spool of flat silver tinsel, small fly tackle box, fly floatant, 25 yards of 6lb tippet material, and a small bag of beads. Everything listed is what is left in the kit because I did use some of the feathers that came with it. But this kit is still great for anyone interested in starting fly tying since it had all the equipment necessary.
