These are(2) vintage abu garcia ambassadeur 6000 baitcast reels with shoremaster custom boat rods. Both abu's have been upgraded. They now have ballbearings inplace of the factory brass bushings in the end caps. Also, both have carbon fiber drag washers for better life and drag ability. Foot numbers on reels are 087202, 070902.Both rods are 20-50lb rating and measure 5' 8" Reels are in nice working condition, clickers work great and have only been used a few times since upgrades. Two nice spincasting reels. I took both of these reels apart to check gears and condition. The insides are very clean. No dirt or grit and no signs of wear. The reels were lubed and reassembled and all functions tested 100% The Zebco reel is the new for 2014 Black series with a 3.6:1 gear ratio and 4 bearings with instant anti-reverse. The Abumatic also has instant anti-reverse and is a 3 bearing reel. Both of these reels are very smooth and would work great for bass or crappie. This auction is for a par of Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5500 baitcasting reels. Both are very smooth and have a little wear as seen in pictures. Both have the same foot#780805. I have no idea how or why they have gold plates with red insides. The only difference I see in one has the red Ranger handle and one has a bone Ranger handle. I got the two ultra light rod and reels last year and thought I was going to start crappie fishing well I went twice and they have sat in my closet since same with most of the lures half of them haven't been touched don't pass this up everything is super clean and taken care of right I fish for bass and clean all my reels after each trip and same for these minus the zebco.thanks for your interest O by the way the rod stand isn't included just used it to get a decent picture of everything.
