The medallion on this reel only reads"Cardinal 4" and it is at the bottom of the side plate(on the Zebco models I've seen. The label is in the upper part of the side plate) I don't know if that means anything? This reel has a white knob on the back(drag? an anti-reverse switch on the left side, and the Abo medallion on the left side. There is a label on the spool shroud that reads"Saltwater Proof" The bail spring is strong, and everything on the reel is working properly. It has some paint issues, but it is otherwise in pretty good shape. I have just confused myself as to why i couldnt get it on the cage for a second or two before remembering it was from a left handed reel. this set up will fit vintage abu reels from the early 1970's. Its has an immaculate black bevel edge sideplate, very hard to find in this condition, driveplate, and gears and tension cap. The driveplate is in very good condition, as are the gears, although the driveplate is black, but the colour has rubbed along the outer rim, this could easily be touched in but i chose to leave in its original state. this is a rare old find. more ... morethan happy to ship worldwide.

Abu Garcia Ambassadeur TOURNAMENT PRO 5600 C
This is a very lightly used Ambassadeur reel which has been sitting in my garage forever. It is at little dirty. But it was probably only actually cast 25 times at most. The gear ratio is 5.3:1. I do not know the year it was made. Other numbers on the bottom side of the reel are: TP56 1377 On the other side. There it show LB/YDS starting 12 12/175 and then what may be a metric set of measurements. My eyes are too bad to see. Also. The crank handle seems a little loose, but I am assuming it can be tightened my removing the small faceplate that secures it and adjusting it.

Until their introduction you adjusted the drag on foxed spool reels via a knob on the front of the spool. Without one of these you couldn't catch a Carp! The reels. Especially these large Cardinal 57's were also popular with Salmon and Pike fishermen. They were very easy to use and operated smoothly. Ambassadeur, 5500CL3, The Original, Gear Ratio 5.3:1, 3 Stainless Steel Bearings, Instant Anti-Reverse, Made in Sweden, Line Cap. 12LB/205Yds. 14LB/180Yds. 17 LB/130Yds. and heel is stamped 100013/03. Measures approx. 2 1/2" diameter and 2 1/2" across front face. This reel is in very good condition and shows a few minor dings and scratches on left side plate and some lettering wear on the decals and reel is in very good to excellent working condition.
