You are bidding on a vintage silver colored Ambassadeur FISHING REEL. The shiny places in the pictures are glare from the lights. In used condition with wear/scuffs/dings. Solid& sturdy with all its parts. The thumb release doesn't stay pushed in, selling for repair. Its a little stiff when turned& dirty, needs to be cleaned& oiled. The handle, spool, line guide turn. The star drag works. I couldn't find a model number. The reel is marked: ABU SWEDEN& has a label that reads: High Speed. The bottom of the foot is marked: 790403. For sale is a very nice used rare vintage Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 5500c Syncro Drag Baitcasting reel. This reel was made in 1989 and features the Syncro drag. Which enables the fisherman to pull the handle back a 1/4 turn to reduce drag by 75% for a large fish. The reel has stainless steel ball bearings, high speed retrieve 4.7:1, multi-disk star drag, precision brass gears and will hold approx. 195 yd of 12 lb or 140 yd of 20 lb. the iPad photos of the Swedish Crest side of the reel are too detailed and from a foot away look minuscule.
