Star, crank and bearing caps are all in very good cosmetic shape a nd look quite nice. Has a very good levelwind set and seat is in very good shape as well as the frame. Pretty close to very good shap e but the plates do have some finish wear. The Super-Sized and Zoom-Able pictures are of the reel which show it quite well. This Ambassadeur is in very good shape and ready to fish. Has a well working levelwind. Cranks well and has a solid anti-reverse. H as a very good freespool mode with nice bushings and has dual manual backlash controls and 4 air-brakes. Also a very good drag strong smooth and variable. And a well working clutch which dis-engages immediately on first crank. Also the line run clicker works well, tics as line is peeling out so you don't crank against a hard running fish. Has a bait clicker as well which sounds well with a good working switch. In all some wear to the plates but a good looking and very good working reel ready to fish or collect alike. There are scratches on the endplates and a ding at the bottom screw on the buttplate. There is no number on the foot. The clicker is strong. The specifications are shown in the last picture. The box is intact with no tape. The graphics are good. But the box has wear on the corners and edges. There is damage to one end as shown in the 7th picture. The paperwork. In 2002. To commemmorate the 50th anniversary of the Record Ambassadeur reel, ABU released 1800 sets of two reels in a wooden presentation box. This set is number 410. The reels are 1) a reproduction of the Record Ambassadeur 5000 and 2) a Morrum SX3600C IVCB. The Record Ambassadeur 5000 represents the beginning of the world's most revolutionary and successful reel and the Morrum represents the latest in technological advances in fishing reels. I bought two of these sets from a dealer friend in Sweden when they first came out. One has been displayed in my collection. While this set has been stored. It was opened for the first time to take these pictures. It is truly a mint set. If you've never fished with a Morrum reel. Then you've missed something. It has been examined by our local reel repair wizard and pronounced in excellent mechanical and very good cosmetic condition, with minimal boat rash. It is a gently used, one-owner reel that's been in storage for the last decade. Line(mono) capacities are as follows: 14#325 yds. 20#270 yds, 30#200 yds. Very nice extras, the reel handles appear to be mother of pearl(not fully sure) but they look very good, the condition of the reel is excellent, reel has been professionally gone over and cleaned and works like new, case is very clean, the under reel seat is numbered#750203, some light scratches to red paint on reel is very minor and from expected normal wear and use, Ambassadeur Abu Sweden reels are no longer made in Sweden where they used stainless steel bearings and bushings, very good quality, a fantastic collector addition that is all ready to rig up and use, a REEL Beauty!

Hi. This auction is for a Abu Garcia ambassadeur 5500 da casting reel. I know nothing about fishing so I can't really provide you with much information on this. What you see in the pictures is what is included. Condition: Appears(to my non-fisherman) eye to be in reasonable condition. It's a little dusty and there is a small scuff/scratch in the red anodizing that can been seen in one the images to the left of the'5500 da' sticker. The box is taped together. I am very happy to offer a Garcia 5500D for auction. This reel is better than good. There is very little paint loss on the reel. It works and does all that it should. If I was the new owner I would probably want to change the line and oil it. I doubt it has ever been done. Somebody took really good care of this reel and I got it with a hand made or special made rod. I think this would be a great addition to any collection. You will not see many 5500D in this condition. Somebody is going to get a great reel. I will have multiple offering on reels this week so if you get a chance check it out. This is the jewel however. Shipping shown is for the US. This is an exceptional Abu Ambassadeur 5000 4 Screw Baitcasting Reel. This reel should be considered in"collectable condition" Several weeks after purchasing. I brought this reel to the Abu Garcia booth at the 2012 Muskie Expo in St. Paul, Minnesota. This reel was inspected. Cleaned and lubed professionally by Chuck Brod of The Sportsman Repair Shop. Mosinee, WI. While disassembling this reel, he stated that it probably had never been used as it had absolutely no signs of any mechanical wear whatsoever. He also stated the handle may not be the original, but should not effect the reel's value. That's how good this reel seems to be. Since then, it has been stored and not used. Please review the photos. You should be able to see a couple small blemishes, probably from past storage and occasional handling. This is an old. Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 50 00. Made in Sweden. Early 4 screw model. This is a very nice used reel as seen. With only a little rim rash. Super slick and shiny, but be prepared to clean and oil for optimum performance. The button on this one is obviously dirty, as it sticks and wont stay in until being worked a few times. Smooth foot number is 593720. Has a nice, pearl Ranger Power Handle too! Very hard to find model. Wow! Look closely and bid accordingly. Awesome fish catchers. Highly collectible. Seldom seen. Unknown Model Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Free Spool Reel Marked "Sample"
I called it"vintage" but I really don't know how old it is. A Swedish made Abu Garcia Ambassadeur wide free spool casting reel. Appears to have an all aluminum frame and one metal side plate. The other side plate is plastic that shows light scratches. All the original print is so worn I can't determine the model. I can see"660? It has a star drag. Power handle, 3 ball bearings, cast control, and a warning"clicker" The really unusual thing about the reel is the foot is stamped"Sample" and has no serial number. A bit dirty but, other than the print wear, it's in very good condition. Functions like new. Rare or just unusual? E-mail me with any questions. No reserve. Satisfaction guaranteed. 4 Abu Garcia Ambassadeur Mag 1 XLT2 XLT 1 Syncro& Ulta Mag extra Spool#2. We arer offering 4 nice Ambasadeur Made in Sweden baitcasting reels that have all been torn down. Cleaned, serviced and re-assembled and ready to fish. The reels are as follows; 1 Ambassadeur Mag 1, one Ambassadeur XLT2, 1 Ambassadeur XLT1 Syncro and 1 Ultra Mag(decal is missing with specific model) Also included is one spare spool that will fit the Mag1 and the XLT 1 Syncro. Three of the reels have flipping switches, three have the Camlock quick change side plates. I don't believe the Mag 1 originally came with one but has one now which I think is better. The serial numbers are as floows; Mag 1 is 84-3, XLT2 is 85-0, XLT1 Syncro is 86-0 88=89 and the last reel Ultra Mag(missing label) is 821006. Again, they are all in good working condition but do show wear ... moreso please check the close-up pictures for the cosmetic condition of the reels.
