This auction is for a Vintage Bamboo Junior Fly Set. I believe this is a do it yourself bamboo fly rod for kids. Pretty cool. Very Rare. I am not sure the manufacturer or country this was produced or during what time period. It looks to be complete according to the list, but I have not put it together to test if it works. The rod is in great shape and so are the rest of the pieces. The only issue is the carrying bag, the plastic is very old and it is basically falling apart. Vintage snake guides for bamboo fly rod refinishing
Vintage snake guides removed from old bamboo fly rods. 39 total in three sizes. I'm not an expert but I believe the guide sizes are as follows: 2/0. 1/0 and 1. There are 18 2/0(the smallest, standard size for the tip sections) 15 1/0(from the mid sections) and 6 1's which are sometimes used as step up guides near the butt section. These will finish at least 3 nine foot rods which usually take 5 size 2/0 on the tip and 4 size 1/0's on the mid.

Rare Monarch Bamboo Fishing Rod Made in Japan Spin/Fly Fishing w Wood Grip
For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this(I think) early 1950s vintage rod made in Japan. It is a 5 piece bamboo fly/spin fishing combo rod. You reverse the grip section to fish it as a fly fishing rod. As a two piece spinning rod it is a 5'4" rod. As a three piece fly fishing rod it is 8 feet long. There are two fly fishing tips. The line size for which it is balanced is unmarked but it throws a 6 weight line pretty comfortably. As a spinning rod I think you would want to keep the mono at 8 pounds or less. There originally was a round yellow logo but most of that has worn off. At the the front of the logo I can see an H and at tail end of the logo I can make out the last letters of the word Monarch.a known Japanese rod brand or model. With this design it is almost certainly a rod made in Japan. The rod is an early design with ... morea spiral thread wrap around most of the bamboo. It also has an unusual heavily grained hardwood grip. The eyes. Wraps, seat, and tip tops are all intact and excellent. It has an early ring style hook keeper. It comes with the(obviously not original) rod bag that fits and provides some protection but no tube. Condition is used but in truly excellent condition with no damage and very little wear. This nice vintage 9' split bamboo rod is by an original"Adirondack" made by Horrocks- Ibbotson. Utica, New York. The condition is very nice with no loose eyes or connectors.no loose threads.it has an extra tip section as shown in the photos which matches the other tip section except slightly different eyes. Overall, very nice with light wear.it looks like it may have been re-coated with light varnish many years ago, there are a couple of small glitches in the varnish where it touched something(look at foto 9) which are negligible. The bamboo rod is wrapped tightly every 1 1/2" I can find no cracks or splits anywhere in the bamboo. When the 3 pieces are connected it has great whip motion.very smooth. Vintage H/I Horrocks Ibottson Ike Walton Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod Unfished Cond
Vintage fly rod I have up for auction a vintage horrocks Ibottson super cane impregnated Bamboo fly rod in unfished near mint condition. Rod is named"Ike Walton" Is four piece, and comes with sock and tube. Because of cat getting ahold of the tube it caused it to start to unravel. I did some repair with glue and tape. Also the metal cap missing. Cap could probably be replaced without problem if desired. Cat also chewed on cork handle and caused it to look used but it hasn't been. I was going to change cork but decided it to be fine as is. Beside cork Rod is absolutely in mint condition. This is a hard to find Rod in this condition. Up for auction is a 7ft 6inch 5 weight 2 piece Orvis"Adirondack" bamboo fly rod with the original tube and rod sock. This is the Madison series with one tip configuration and was built in 2008 by the current Orvis rod builder Charlie Hisey. This rod is in excellent condition with very minor soiling on the cork grip due to use. I glanced over this rod and could not find any glue line separations. This rod has spent most of life it the aluminum tube. The only reason I am selling this rod is because I bought another Orvis 5wt bamboo rod to replace this one. Antique Union Hardware Company Split Bamboo Four Piece Fly Fishing Rod Pole
Up for auction is an antique split bamboo fly fishing rod. It has two end pieces. One of the ends is broken and poorly repaired and one is broken and missing the tip. The eyelets are rusty and one is broken. The pole is 102" long. The metal at the connector needs steel wool and oil so it will slide together. Comes with(I believe original) green felt sleeve pouch and aluminum carrying tube. I cannot find any markings on the base piece. Felt pouch or tube so I am not 100% sure who the manufacturer is but was represented to me as a Shakespeare rod but I do believe it's a Montague. Condition: Very good cosmetic condition with only very light wear and no cracks. Splits, etc that I can find and all pieces fit together nice and snugly. 2 Vintage Japanese Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod Combos Being Sold for Parts or Restor
This is a lot of two vintage Japanese made bamboo fly rod. Fishing rod combos with vintage fly reels attatched. After doing some research these where commonly sold as a kit from Frank Hacking, Sakura, Yama Toyo, Nippon Fishing Tackel. They would often be in a wooden box with an assortment of lures and tackel. These are being sold for parts or restoration as both rods have issues. see photos. The reels are local Seattle maker Ravenna Metal Prod. Co. Seattle, Keen Kaster No. 6. One reel is missing two interior pins and a knob. The other has been homemade repaired and is missing a knob. Both will make a complete rod and would make a great wall hanger for the man cave or cabin. Or retreive parts for your set. What you see is what you get.

Martin 38G Automatic Fly Reel-Excellent Condition-Bamboo Fly Rod
You would be hard pressed to find a nicer and more complete Martin automatic anywhere. The model is 38G for a six or seven weight rod. As you can see in the photos the reel is in remarkably clean condition. I pulled it apart to clean and lubricate the gears and etc. It wasn't necessary. It's got a weight forward line spooled and I cleaned and dressed it. It looks new with no abrasions. Or nicks. For the collector. Montague, 10’6” “Dry Fly Salmon” bamboo rod.
Montague. 10’6” Dry Fly Salmon” bamboo rod. This is their threepiece, two tip salmon model with the nicely blued up-locking reel seat and the five-inch detachable extension butt with a nice rubber button on the end. It has the reinforced ferrules, and the dark, rich flame treated can that one associates with these rods. All sections are the correct length, and I can see no repairs. The stripping guide is in place, but could use some attention. It comes in the correct Montague sectional bag with much of the original label intact. This rod is in excellent condition.
