Offering a 4 piece bamboo fly rod in good condition. The rod has two tips that are in a wood tube with brass screw on cap. The tip sections are 25 1/4" and 28 1/4" and look like they have had some repair work in the ferrule area. The wood tube they are stored in is 35 1/4" long and has a split about 11" long. The butt and middle sections look good. Windings look tight and clean. The cork looks good just dirty from age. The reel seat has a sliding ring. I do not see any manufacturer markings on the rod. This is a nice old split bamboo fly rod from Montague. The"Sunbeam. The rod is in quite nice condition overall. It measures 9' with the longer tip, and 8' 10" with the shorter tip. The wrappings are all good, the cork is good, the bamboo has no splits that I could see, and the ferrules look good. The canvas bag. A war-surplus item, was supposedly used by Montague to package these rods, so is an original piece. The photos from picture 4 through picture 10 are sequential. From left to right. Vintage Goodwin Granger Champion Bamboo 8-1/2' Fly Rod with Two Tips
Nice older split bamboo fly rod. With one tip it measures 8' 6" And with the other tip, it measures 8' 2" It appears that it might have been re-varnished at some point, as there is varnish showing over the eyes and the ferrules. I don't know for sure if that is the way it was made originally or not. There is a mild dent on the butt end. Wrappings are good, eyes are good, ferrules are good, cork handle is good. I see no splits in the bamboo. The two tips go into the cloth bag that goes into the metal tube. The other two pieces go into the other cloth bag. All fit into the cardboard tube. And will be packed tightly in that tube. The package will be shipped in that cardboard tube, USPS Priority Mail, to be sure the package ships insured. Please view the photos carefully. The last section of the Rod with the tip may have lost about 1/2" of it because the rap is different and it is 1/2" shorter but not positive about that. This Rod is fishable right now. This rod looks to have been fished very little but has signs of use. The handle and Rod seat looks great. Antique Bamboo Fly Rod 8'-6" 2-tips Felt Lined Case: Split Cane
For your consideration a three piece. 8'6" split cane fly rod with an extra tip. Also comes with the original felt lined case. I can not find a name or mark on the pole but its a well made custom piece. The condition is very good there are no cracks or splits in the cane. There are no bends or dents in the nickel guides and ferrules. And all the windings are secure and original. The cork grip has wear and shows signs of age but it's in tact. The finish is old and I believe it is also original. Notice the frequency of the windings on the tip possibly a clue to the maker? Please look at all the pictures they are part of the description. Rare Early Hardy St George three screw Fly Reel for your bamboo rod
Wonderful old Hardy St. George 3 screw fly reel. Hard to find these in this good of shape. Measures 3 3/8" in diameter. Nice clear agate line guard. However, there is a slight hairline crack on the bottom, but should still be able to be used without damaging fly line. Mark II Duplicated type check mechanism. Marked with makers mark- J. The only thing I have done is add a little oil. Reel functions properly, no scraping or wobble. Sounds reel good. Strong drag. Unfiled brass foot. This rod will be expertly packaged and shipped insured to your location. I am an honest seller. And my goal is to put these rods and reels back on the rivers and streams to be used rather than collect dust. The spinning reel is an Orvis 50A in great working order, the bail works the drag is functional and it comes with a spare spool, made in Italy. The fly reel is an Orvis Batenkill, click and pawl original made in England. These are not the reels that came with the rod. However, these are the same model of reels that would have been included in this set from Orvis. The box is mahogony tightly fitted with movable sections for other gear. Winchester Model 6115 split bamboo fly rod in very good condition. This is an 8 foot rod with 2 tips and bamboo tip holder. The cloth tip wrap and rod wrap are not in the greatest condition but everything is there with the exception of the cloth tie. The only thing wrong with the rod is the hook holder ring is missing on the butt section(see picture) This is a great collector rod.

RARE: Signature E. W. Edwards -"Edwards" Bamboo Fly Rod-1928 Original Bag w/Name
RARE E.W. Edwards bamboo fly rod. With"Edwards" signature, 3 sections, Mt. Carmel" model and place of manufacture. This vintage rod is 3/1 for a 6 weight line and the original total length was 9 feet long. The butt and mid section are full size and equal at 38 inches long. The tip is short at 29.5 inches. Even though it is short, the rod casts beautifully. All of the metal fittings: ferrules. Reel seat, guides, hookkeeper are original. The varnish shows wear, mostly from bag storage, but has retained a beautiful reddish brown patina. The wraps are orange jasper silk. The reel seat shows some wear with small dings where the reel foot met the seat. The cork is in good condition although it shows soiling from years of use. I could have cleaned it, but decided to leave it alone! Regarding the signature"Edwards"Patrick ... moreGarner's book. Playing with Fire, The Life and Fly Rods of E.W. Edwards" is most helpful for dating and authenticating the signature. On page 195 of his authoritative book, Patrick distinguishes between authentic E. W. Edwards signature, and that of an employee of Edwards who also signed rods. I believe this to be the employee's signature and not Mr. Edwards. The time of manufacture would be the late 1920's. So as not to be dishonest but accurate, I defer to Patrick's knowledge regarding the signature! The rod comes in an original Edwards bag with the Edwards stamping. Old Abbey & Imbrie #3030 3-Piece Split Bamboo Fly Rod-Intact- NR
This came out of an old-timers garage. It is a 3 piece Abbey& Imbrie bamboo fly rod-has an old cloth bag that it fits but not sure if it is original. It has an old bubble- finish on it-and my guess is a couple of guides and maybe the tip have been retied at one point. Butt and mid section are both about 36" long and tip is about 26" long. Vintage Bamboo Fly Rod Unknown Maker Recently Restored 3pc 9' 2-3wt
This is a beautiful old rod. Unknown original maker. This rod has the look and feel of a high end piece of it's time. This rod was stripped, cleaned, rewrapped with new light wire snake guides and a vintage Agate stripper. The cane has some set.no attempt was made to change it's character. The original pinned ferrules were removed, cleaned and reinstalled with epoxy but NOT re-pinned. The reel seat was cleaned and recoated, the cork was cleaned and the metal parts were polished. This is a great old rod that has been given new life. It is 3 pieces and 9' long and weighs in at only 4.3 oz. It should cast 2-3wt line. Section lengths are: Butt 36 3/4" Mid 36 3/4" Tip 35 3/4" Total assembled 107.5" If you are unhappy with this piece for any reason please contact me.

Von Lengerke& Antoine was a longtime Chicago sporting store, and was actually a division of a New York store, Von Lengerke& Detmold. This store was the competition of Abercrombie& Fitch, and in 1928, A& F bought out the Von Lengerke stores. The item you are bidding on is a Milward's Trout Craft Bamboo Fly Rod. It is 8' 5" long in Very good condition. I used a 5 wt. line on it and had great results. The cork on this rod is looking a little dry.

White Bear Split Bamboo Fly Rod Set Rare Japan Complete Kit Excellent Shape
Up for sale is my White Bear flyrod I've owned this rod for 25 years. It's been a display piece in my office. The rod measures about 8' when assembled. The box includes three different tips for a total of 5 rod pieces. The kit also has 22 flies that came with the original kit as well as a package of hooks that were made in Japan. The interior of the case is in pretty good shape. The outside of the case shows wear from age. As you can see in the pictures one of the latches is missing. The hinges work fine. I hate to sell this but I need the money. I have never seen a complete White Bear kit before. Posted with

Bill Edwards Quadrate Bamboo Fly Rod
This is a model 55 Quadrate bamboo fly rod built by Bill Edwards in the early to mid 1950's. The reel seat is a replacement and one tip is slightly short. The Edwards script is partially gone but you can still see that is is an Edwards Quadrate. Bill and his son Scott built great bamboo fly rods but not many come on the market very often. The rod is very collectible and a very fine example of American craftsmanship. The butt. Mid and one tip section measure 36.5" long, and the other tip measures 33.5" The rod has been refinished and all wraps are in very good condition. Both the bag and tube with brass collar are original and the tube has what is left of the Edwards oval label. The label is very worn but you can make out the printing. Ebisu 5 Piece Bamboo Fishing Rod, Japanese, Casting/Fly Fishing
This is a five piece casting/fly rod made from bamboo. There are three tips. The rod can be used as a fly rod or a casting rod. It is labeled"Ebisu" on the pole by the grip. I do not believe it was ever used. Since the grip is still covered in the original plastic wrap. There is a rubber pommel or bumper on the end of the grip that has deteriorated somewhat. The guides are not rusted and the overall condition of the metal is very good to excellent, but there are a few signs of age(minimal tarnish) The finish and lashing of the guides is in excellent condition. It comes with the original case and accessories as can be seen in the photos. Overall it is a very good item and would compliment your collection. The case is also in good shape. The pictures show black electrical tape to hold loose joints, but it would be an easy fix. I should ... morehave done this before the auction but do not have the time. Heddon#35 Deluxe"Peerless" Bamboo Fly Rod. This rod is in excellent condition. The length is 8' 6" with 2" ferrule. The varnish is in great condition with only a few small nicks. Beautiful wood reel seat. The aluminum tube and sock are new. This rod would make a great addition to any collection. Please email me with any questions you might have. VINTAGE REFINISHED 4WT STREAM SPLIT BAMBOO FLY FISHING ROD
VINTAGE REFINISHED 4WT STREAM SPLIT BAMBOO FLY FISHING ROD This auction is for a vintage refinished three piece 8’ 10” split bamboo fly rod. There are no manufacturer identifications. It does have characteristics of a Montague rod based on the reel seat. Winding check and ferrules. The bottom section measures 37” mid section is 34” and the tip is 34 1/2” I would estimate the fly line weight at a solid four based on the taper and action of the rod. The 4 ¾” cork has been repaired in two areas with wood filler and is in fully functional condition. The sliding ring reel seat is also in good shape. The mid section has three snake eye guides. Two of which have been professionally rewrapped. There are four snake eye guides on the tip section and an agate stripper guide. I do not believe the tip section is original to the rod based on the color ... moreof the cane, however it has the same wrap patterns. The rod fits together nicely when assembled, there is a slight natural set in the tip section which will not affect the use or casting of the rod. I meticulously stripped the old varnish. Refinished with four coats of spar varnish and completed it with high quality wood rubbing compounds. The ferrules have been buffed and polished. The bamboo cane and varnish finish are beautiful. This classic rod has a wonderful traditional bamboo cane casting action. It would be well suited for stream fishing, just in time for the spring trout season.
