The vessel form has a round foot base measuring 2.75" across. Main body immediately tapers out to 3.5" right above foot base; and then tapers in and then slightly to brush pot rim. This is a vintage. 3-piece Abbey& Imbrie Silverlake bamboo fly rod that measures 8'6" from the tip-top to the butt cap. It is in surprisingly good condition for its age with no damage I could see to the guides, windings, or ferrules. There is some small degradation to the top and bottom of the cork handle, but it is essentially cosmetic and doesn't affect grip or function. This would be a good rod to carry in your truck for those impromptu fishing breaks, or for a youngster just beginning the hobby of fly fishing. This is a no-reserve auction. Good luck bidding. GORGEOUS VINTAGE "FLAMED" BAMBOO SOUTH BEND 346-9' FLY ROD, TUBE & SOCK
Super nice vintage South Bend 346 fly rod. 9' 3/2 with original marked sock and excellent vintage aluminum tube. This rod is excellent EXCEPT for the fact that 1 tip has been repaired(see photo) Excellent reel seat, cork, cane, guides and ferrules. Wraps are good with a few showing some dryness from age. If I were to keep this rod I would give all the wraps a fresh coat of varnish for preservation. South Bend label is perfect. Inked"346-9' and D or HDH" for the line weight. I would use a 6-7wt. line. Correctly marked sock is very good and is in a very good vintage aluminum tube. Don't know if the tube is original. The"wrap" repair on the tip is between the 3-4 guides. I do not know the issue, probable a splintered spline. Tip turns upward at the repair but could be maybe straightened with a heat gun. I bent ... moreit at the repair and it did not break. Vintage/ Antique Sectional Cane Bamboo Fly Rod. Auction is for a neat looking vintage sectional cane bamboo fly rod. Includes 12 pieces. Along with portable wooden case that also holds flys. Case has covers on both sides to separate your gear cleanly. I'm not sure of specifics with this rod, but was able to assemble using 7 of the pieces to make around a 7-1/2' fly rod, slight bend at the tip. There are 5 pieces that were left over, one is a duplicate tip the others could be duplicates as well. One of the leftover pieces has a small portion broken off in one end. Also not sure if handle was ever included or if you were meant to tie reel down, no piece with a reel seat. Wood itself is in excellent condition, no splits or cracks and very clean overall. 7 1/2' 2 piece L.L Bean (Edwards) Bamboo Fly Rod - NR
The following item is listed and offered with no reserve. It is for a two piece split cane fly rod sold by L.L Bean of Freeport ME as stamped on the down locking reel seat- see picture. The rod was most probably built by Edwards and is still in sound fishing condition but would also make for a good project. Ferrules are serviceable and still separate with a soft pop(would replace if refinishing/restoring) Varnish is chipped in spots and could stand to be redone. Base of tip has a long invisible wrap that is difficult to see in pictures or easily noticed when handling. It looks old and completely sound. All wraps and guides look to be original and in good condition although a few of the signature wraps are partially missing- see picture. Rod is inked E. Hertzel in black and at the base of the butt section in white scripted ink. Beans Two Piece ... moreFly- see pictures. Black wraps tipped red. Both sections straight. This rod has definitely seen some time on the water. Cork grip is still sound and firm but shows definite use with very slight ridging and a few minor areas where it was used to hold flies despite having a hook keeper. Vintage Montague Broad Brook 3 Piece, 2 Tip, 5/6 Wt. Bamboo Fly Rod - Very Nice
For sale is a very nice vintage Montague Broad Brook 3 Piece. 2 Tip, 5/6 Wt. Bamboo Fly Rod. From my research. And the assistance of an authority on Montague rods, I have determined that is a Montague Broad Brook model bamboo fly rod that has been refinished. Whoever refinished it created their own label, which describes the rod incorrectly. I have found that the Game Cock and Broad Brook were 2 different models. This is definitely a Broad Brook model, probably built in the late 1930's or early 1940's. This model is fairly rare and sports Montague's high end reel seat with a cedar insert, attractive flamed Tonkin cane and blackened hardware. The mid section is about an inch short from being broken and repaired at some point. The section lengths are: Butt section- 34 ½” Middle section– 33 ¾” Tips– 34 ½” each The ... morerod comes with a nice metal tube(not original) and a sleeve that fits the pieces nicely but I don’t know if its original or not. Very early bamboo fly rod with gorgeous bamboo tip holder(rare) Not marked but possibly a"Chubb" rod. Rod measures 8'3" and is very light. I would fish it with 4wt. maybe 5wt. line. A very light little rod. When together it sets downward in fishing position.Very good nickel reel seat. Good cane and varnish. Ferrules are good except butt ferrule lip is chewed up some(see photo) looks like someone trying to get it apart with pliers.grrrrrrrrr. Male mid ferrule still inserts properly. Tight wraps except stripping guide wrap has been replaced by tape. Ferrules and guide also look like nickel. Very nice 9' 3/1 Horrocks Ibbotson"Governor" FLAMED"bamboo fly fishing rod with sock. A 3 piece rod, no extra tip. Reel seat, cork and cane are excellent. I see no splits or separations to the cane. Very good ferrules. Butt guide is missing but wrap is tight and a guide could probably be slipped in with out a rewrap. Also missing top guide on the mid section, one of the guide wraps is starting to unravel. Butt and mid are pretty straight, tip has casting set. Overall this rod is in very good condition. Granger Premier Very Rare Wright & McGill Bamboo 9ft Fly Rod
Rare Granger Premier fly rod in bamboo by Wright& McGill. I believe this was made in 1950 or 1951.But not sure. It is NOT IN MINT CONDITION, the first eyelet of the mid section had been replaced all other eyelets are in very good shape, also it looks like the lacquer has come off in spots. The rod is complete with all four sections with sock and rod tube believed to be original, although there is no label on the rod tube. Over all I'd say it's in good shape but would need to be restored to be brought back to mint condition. Also there are no cracks in this rod. Please look at all the picture before bidding. Vintage Mid Century Kitsch - Colorful BAMBOO Hot Pad Trivet - Cat or Dog Design
This auction is for a pair of vintage bamboo trivets or hot pads for holding hot pots or pans. They are so cool but I am not sure if the design is a white cat or dog with a red bow. The bamboo is darker in places and I do know know if the darkening is from heat or moisture. The trivets are clean and odor free. They are not greasy and I feel that they may have been for decoration or rarely used. Height is 7 3/4 inches and the width is the same. The bamboo was cut into beads which were then dyed different colors. The beads were then sewn together to form a design. I have taken pictures of both the front and back of each. This Beautiful Radice pipe is fantastic with a faux bamboo shank It is in very nice condition. Solid walls and a perfect original stem sporting the 2 Radice dots. Luigi Radice began making pipes in 1960 for Castello before leaving in 1968 to co-found Caminetto. In 1980. He founded Radice pipes and has been a cornerstone for shaping and craftsmanship ever since. Along with Gianluca and Marizo(his sons) in Cucciago, Italy, they produce between 1,200 and 1,500 pipes annually that translates to approx 4 pipes made per day, not very many and very coveted. Antique Ornate Chinese Long Bamboo Brass Tobacco Smoking Pipe Vintage
This is an antique bamboo and brass pipe made in China. It is in excellent used condition with no holes. Cracks or gaps so it is still usable as it does draw. It's also a nice display piece. The bamboo has a design on it that looks like it has been done in ink. The pipe measures 11 3/4" long by 3/4" wide at the bowl.

Bauhaus Display Cabinet Set - Mid Century Modern - Quartered Bamboo Veneer
This set of 3 cabinets has 2 display cases with lights and a middle cabinet that has solid doors on top and bottom and is also lighted on the inside. They are covered from head to toe in quartered bamboo. They have a light greenish color to them. And have a laminate finish. They have a great mid century look to them. These are extremely rare. I have yet to find another set like them anywhere. These are humongous and very heavy. I have a truck and can deliver, but it will take a few trips to do so, if you are within the metro area. All 3 cabinets are the same dimensions. These come with a total of 6 glass shelves and 3 wood shelves(with the quartered bamboo veneer on them) These came out of a very high-end luxury home. They are great for displaying china. Trophies, awards, or anything else of prominence in your life. There are a few nicks/scratches(mostly ... moreon the very bottoms and tops and a few on the sides) and some slightly discolored parts on the front. Really just some slight regular wear and tear on them. There are a couple of missing items. First is one of the glass doers is missing(the cabinet on the far right) I have the hardware for the door. So it really just needs a new pane of glass. Second, the two cabinets with the glass doors have two lights in each, but only the light on the left works in both. I bought new light bulbs this past weekend, because I thought they were burnt out, but that didn't seem to solve the problem. They still look good I think even with just the one light working in each, but hopefully somebody might be able to fix them. I took some pictures. This is a vintage Shakespeare Bamboo Fly Rod. It is Model A-1363. The rod is in great condition and has a length of 9 feet. It is a 3 piece 2 tip rod. One of the tips is about.5" longer. Looks like the tip needs the ferrule reseated. All of the windings. Guides, reelseat are in good condition. The cork grip has 1 small notch missing. The label is 100% present and the stripper guide is glass or agate. The rod comes with sock and metal tube with a rubber cap. Use the zoom on the pics to see the detail better.
