The vintage pole is a 3 piece with one extra tip piece but the pieces do not slide together very well.The cork handle is in good condition as is the bamboo, the middle section has some cracking/ splintering but is holding together and seems to be broken off as it is shorter than the other pieces, one end piece is in very good condition while the others tip is broken off and is warping, most of the bamboo pieces have marks, dings and other types of wear and tear. A very nice collectible vintage Bamboo Fly rod that is in fair condition. THE 7613 WAS TRADITIONALLY A 7'6" 5WT AND IN MOST CASES IT WAS MADE AS A 2 PIECE, 2 TIP ROD. THIS ROD FOLLOWS SUIT. IT IS INDEED A 7613 IN EVERY SENSE. IT IS A 7'6" 2 PIECE, 2 TIP ROD THAT THROWS A 5 WEIGHT VERY NICELY, ALTHOUGH I PREFER A DT-4F WITH THIS ROD. THE ROD ITSELF IS FINISHED WITH THE FINEST COMPONENTS AVAILABLE INCLUDING A BELLINGER. BLUED, UPLOCKING REEL SEAT WITH A DARK WALNUT SPACER THAT RETAILS FOR $80. THE GRIP IS A REVERSE HALF WELLS, ALL OF THE GUIDES AND TIP TOPS ARE DARK BLUED AS ARE THE FERRULES. Up for bids is a beautifully restored vintage 8' 3/1 split bamboo fly rod. Really a nice rod. No maker ID. Minus extra tip but all three sections straight and proper length at 32 1/2" right at 8' assembled. Comes in a nice sock and vintage aluminum tube from the era- ornate cap and butt. The natural frequency vibration test puts it right at a#6 weight rod( Constructing Cane Rods by Ray Gould. Pg. 63) Cannot find a flaw with this rod. It has 85 ferrule, guide and intermediate wraps- red, black and a couple gold accent wraps on butt. Nice hook keeper. Reel seat nice vintage nickel silver. One ferrule definitely pinned and can't see others- maybe under wrap. A truly fantastic rod with super finish and gold color. Cork is fantastic as well. Please view pics and bid accordingly. Vintage Split Bamboo 2 Piece 54" Fishing Rod Kirkland?? Bait or Trolling Rod
Purchased at an estate auction with a number of other bamboo rods. This is a 54 inch rod that I could not find the makers mark on. Looking at pictures of the handle the handle is shaped like a Kirkland rod handle. The only eyelet is the end eyelet. The rod is very clean with no splits or cracks. It is in excellent condition. there is no indication that there were ever eyelets on the rod. Its total length is about 54 inches. One section is about 30 inches and the handle section is about 25 Inches. I believe it is a bait or trolling rod.

VINTAGE 7' 2 PC SPLIT BAMBOO SPINNING ROD NO MAKER
Up for bids is a nice vintage 7' 1" two(2) piece split bamboo spinning rod. It is in good condition. Upon inspection cannot find any markings/maker etc. It is an older rod as the reel seat nut is for early. Thin footed reels. Nut itself is a little dinged from mounting but does still thread ok. Slight cork chunk missing at top/rod joint(pic) All guides and black wraps seem fine. Assembled it measures 7' 1" so I believe original length. Butt measures 49 1/4" and tip at 37" Minus the cork/reel seat each bamboo piece is just about the same length(34 1/2" Cork with nice patina- I'm guessing this rod has landed some fish in its day! The longer old bamboo spin rods were a more medium action as this one is. A nice collectable or should fish just fine. Please view pics and bid accordingly. USS Morris at Havana Cuba 1940's - unique bamboo-like frame - original
Up for auction is a framed historic photo of the USS Morris. As she arrives at(believed) Havana Cuba in the 1940's, with Fort Moro in the background. Based on the year models of the automobiles in the photo, this could even be from World War II, but it is definitely from the mid to late 1940's. Unique frame, the original owner was probably a veteran of this ship, and he made the frame look like bamboo. All in all a superb example of a USS Morris destroyer collectible. This lovely Chinese snuff bottle was acquired at auction. Initially(by the previous owner) it was described as porcelain but I had the misfortune of breaking one and found it to be glass. It has an interesting history for its 40 years. The bottle was made in Peking China in the 1970's and sent to a trade fair in South China(Canton? It didn't make it in time for the trade fair so a dealer who worked with the previous owner bought the entire lot of over 1.000 bottles and sent it to him for wholesale business. He has since retired and this is one of 1/2 dozen bottles that remained from the 1,000 + bottles. So, it is a previously owned piece which is also new. The design on each face while being the same are presented a little differently. The coffee colored profile of flowers and bamboo pops on the black background. VINTAGE Early GOODWIN GRANGER 9652 Denver Special 9 1/2' Bamboo Fly Rod
I recently acquired this rod in a small fishing estate. The little ol' feller could not remember much about it. So I will give my thorough assessment. It has obviously been refinished and is somewhat amateurish, but is very solid. This meaning that it is amazingly straight for such a long rod and there is no clicking whatsoever when flexing. In other words it would be a perfect fishing tool, especially for bass out of a boat or belly boat. The tips are both 1" short which absolutely does not affect the action on this 9 1/2 footer. The real seat seat is excellent and the tip ferrules have a good tight fit, with the butt ferrule average, but will work fine. The guides are very nice originals, no rust, with a snake guide as the stripper as the early rods had. The grip is in good shape except for the hook digs. Nice original tube and ... moresock with a hole in the butt section tip. I have shown enough clear and close up photos to give a good idea on the cane condition that is just about flawless. The bag has a few holes in the bottom, but they have been safety pinned closed. Inscribed on the metal part of the rod is Patent Feb. 15, 1927. The cork handle appears to be in great shape, as well as the eyes and wraps and the rod stands straight. The bottom piece is 31 1/2" and the tips are 35 1/2" and ... more29 7/8" long. Edward vom Hofe(1846-1920) was a New York fishing equipment entrepreneur of the late 1800s. He introduced his first two fly reels. Starting his own business in 1867. Vom Hofe had become famous for his precision salt-water big-game bait and casting reels constructed of nickel silver and hard rubber, along with recently discovered metal named aluminum. Vom Hofe was a machinist, fishing-tackle builder and noted big-game angler who outfitted the famous anglers of his generation. It assembles to be an 8 foot rod. It is in good enough condition you can use it or collect it. I have not thrown any line with it but it feels like a 4 or 5 weight to me. All four sections are their exact original length and nice and straight. No chips. Cracks, breaks, or repairs. All the original tip tops and guides are present as are their original wraps. Sockets and ferrules look great with no cracks, corrosion, dents, or wear. They assemble for a nice and snug fit. Rod is beautifully marked under it's original finish"Wright& McGill" and"Granger Victory" The reel seat screws forward to lock the reel and this works fine. Nice ... moreand smooth. Cork looks great with nice original patina. One tiny chip out of cork. Reel seat is marked with"Made By The Wright McGill Rod CO Denver COLO USA" and also marked with the patent date and number. This part is worn and hard to read but the day is 12 and the year is 1938. The only condition I would mention is that one rod tip has slightly better finish than the other. One was probably fished while the other stayed safe in the sock. Rod sock is in nice condition. Original cardboard tube is included but in poor condition and the tube is missing it's screw on top. Vintage Japanese Grampus Split Bamboo Six piece set that's a Fly and Bait Casting Rod with Wooden Case and Flies My father purchased the rod in the 1950's and used it lightly. It makes multiple combinations of fly fishing and bait casting rods. With the most typical being about a 9 foot fly rod, and a 4 or 6 foot bait casting rod. Comes with an Atlas 1708 Model D casting reel made by Kalamazoo Tackle Company(made in the USA patented) The reel has some pitting and corrosion on it. Also has a Beaverkill 610 fly fishing reel(made in Japan) that is in excellent condition. This was my father's favorite rod and was very well maintained. It's in excellent condition but the Grampus mark is slightly worn. A guide and ferrule on the bait casting part has been rewrapped with other than the original thread, and a guide is off of one of ... morethe pieces of the bait casting rod. I found a guide in my father's old fishing pole repair box that is included that may or may not be the original one. I'm also not certain if the rod tip on the bait casting rod is the original and it does have some corrosion on it. VINTAGE HEDDON#14 8 SPLIT BAMBOO FLY FISHING ROD This auction is for a vintage four piece refinished Heddon#14 split bamboo fly rod with original storage clothe. It is 8’in length with one tip section and 8’ 4” with the second tip. It was originally a 9’ rod. There a Heddon inscription and a#14– 9’ 2 ½ F HCH or D inscription. The bottom sections measures 36” Mid is 31” one tip is 34 ½” and the second tip section is 31” I would estimate it would match with a four-five weight fly line. The 6 ¾” cork handle and screw down lock wooden spacer reel seat are in great condition. There are two snake eye guides on the mid section. Three snake eye guides on each tip section and a stripper guide on the bottom section. The guides on the mid section, stripper guide and one guide on the 34 ½” tip section have been professionally re-wrapped. ... moreThe 34 ½” tip section is not original to the rod however it and all of the sections of the rod fit together perfectly when assembled. There is a very slight natural set in the tip sections which will not affect the casting of the rod. I meticulously stripped the old varnish. Refinished with four coats of spar varnish and completed it with high quality wood rubbing compounds. The ferrules have been buffed and polished. The honey colored bamboo cane and varnish finish are gorgeous. This classic Heddon rod would be an excellent choice on any creek or stream under brushy condition. Today I have listed a gorgeous nesting table set that I have given a modern makeover! The large table measures 24" long x 16" wide x 25" tall. The smaller measures 22" long x 11 1/4" wide x 22" tall. Each is a wood in a faux bamboo turned pattern. Very sturdy and well made! I have finished them in white and distressed them for added shabby chic appeal. The tops are repurposed old barn wood with the original chippy white paint. I have sealed the tops very will with a water based clear sealer for ease of use and cleaning. VINTAGE LONG BOW TRADITIONAL BAMBOO BACKED Up for auction here is this vintage traditional/long bow. I have had this in my bow collection just over 10 years now. But do not know the exact age of it, or the maker. It is marked on the bamboo#304- 52# 26" Currently. It is set up for a left hand shooter, and has an overall length(unstrung) of about 62-1/2" I am unsure of the type of wood. But it looks to be hickory with two other species of wood for the handle area. The leather handle covering is in great condition, as is the bamboo backing, with no splits or cracks. I have never strung or shot this bow(I just admired it in my collection) But it does come with the original(I believe) bow string. This bow is very straight. And in overall very nice condition. Vintage Bamboo Riding Crop Quirt
A very unique quirt that came from an estate sale of WWI and WWII artifacts. So I don't know the history of this, but it may be from the military. It measures 23 3/4" long without the leather. The leather is broken off on one side, but could easily be reattached, I just didn't want to alter it from it's as found condition. Vintage South Bend rod in what seems to me. To be in fair condition. Please use the pictures to make your own assessment of the condition. There are 5 pieces total in this auction. Threading has come loose on the large section of pole as seen in the last picture. Each section is a little less than 37" long. Sold as is, as found. I have no idea of value for this pole.
