Vintage Daiwa 4000 C Spinning Fishing Reel. Needs A Little Work. Look.
This is a vintage Daiwa 4000c reel. I got this from an estate sale. I'm no expert in these. It spins freely and moves up and down while spinning. When moving the lever it spins the other way fine while it makes that ticking noise which I think is normal. The major flaw is that the aluminum looking piece next to where its stamped Korea is broken off at the ends. I think this is the part where the pole rests against. Besides the broken edges on that piece the rest seems to function as it's supposed to. Please inspect pics for condition and details. Up for bid and starting at a STEAL is a spinning reel I found going through my attic that I didn't even remember I owned. It is a Daiwa 7000C Silver Series spinning reel w/ all the original paperwork. Warranty card, and a bit of a beat up box. The reel is in like new condition, has only been spooled once(I removed myself and serviced reel) and is lubed and ready to go. This reel has never seen salt water and in taking a look at it it is pretty obvious the box has had a tougher life during storage than the reel so bid w/ confidence.
